Paul picked it up last night with a grin on his face. He's gonna let is sit and be pretty for a few days and then start putting it through the ringer. Ready for him to bring it back by and try out "The Wall" at my place so I can find out if I'm asking too much from Southern Comfort or if I just can't drive, haha. Got to be honest, I don't know if the first scratch is gonna hurt me or him the most. Truck was quickly becoming one of my faves, which seems to be the case every time I finish a build for someone. |

Well I managed to get the light bar wired up last night, and that thing is super bright. Shouldn't have a problem light up the trails with it. And the remote light switch is pretty cool, don't have to worry about and switches in the truck and it will only be on when it needs to be. Going to try and get the winch all wired up tonight and make it all look as good as the rest of the truck.

Maybe the weather will be decent this weekend and we can do some trail running with Southern Comfort and the new rig Bipolar. |

Sounds like a plan to me. Can't wait to see how the new rig of yours performs.

Here's a suggestion...and a little of my Uncle Jim (Beam) talking...take those rigs out to some wide open spaces (I hear Texas has some real estate other than Clay's back yard) and get some wide open action! Bring the Go pro and be a hero! |

Soon as we get some decent weather round here I'm heading back out to Barnwell, the local Offroad park. http://www.barnwellmountainra.com/ Ultimate Adventure came through here a few years back and hit some of the trails. Plenty of crawling and wide open stuff there and I can get my 1:1 back out and stretch its legs. Crawler InNovations has already been talking to the board of directors there about setting up a RC crawl spot and hosting comps as well. It could be a national level comp spot for the comp rigs and scalers easily with the diverse terrain and abundance of rock. |

I love my Uncle. Whenever he comes over, everything seems to make sense. I'm itching to share my new build with you, but I can't spill the beans yet. I'll string you along. |

Small update. Had to trim down the point on the front bumper, tires where just getting into them to bad. And also got the ride height set for a good starting point. Had to put .250 internal limiters in the front shock and about the same for external limiters all around. |

Bumper still looks good. This dang truck has people blowing up my pm box Paul. Glad you and everyone else is happy with it. I don't ever make the same thing twice but luckily my next southern truggy vision came to me. Try not to beat her up too bad this weekend. |

That pretty cool we have have started a new thing with the Southern Truggy thing. Hope the next one turns out good but not as good as mine. The Buggies are awesome but I have always been more of a truck guy, and this thing is just the best of both worlds. Need should get them shocks on Southern Comfort rebuild and come run with me. Bring the GoPro and get some vids.

I think we changed wheels, tires, and hubs at least 3 times before finally getting him the winning combo. Pretty sure it was still on Ripsaws when the bumper was originally made. Oh and then he had to go change the front links. Haha. Just messing Paul. Give a ring after a while so we can hopefully get some video this weekend. |
