I guess I should thank the few that helped me in getting all the parts I needed for this build.

zno-rc
most of all for all the used/new parts that will go into the build
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/members/zno-rc-40778.htm

KMS
for the mill I'll be using in the build, and for a long time after
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/members/kms-49553.htm

RC4WD
for all the scaler parts that will be used in the build. The most realistic parts that can be used in scale builds
Vendors - RC4WD at RCCrawler.com

VP
what can I say. the after market parts you offer WOW
Vendors - Vanquish Products at RCCrawler.com

And to all that are on here
RCC vendors you do a great job for this hobby. Keep going in what you produce. Without all of you their wouldn't be so much support.

Start with the cage. did have the build started/quiet/ and now started back up. will have to redo some things to the cage, because I ended up shopping alot in the wanted section. to come up with parts I couldn't find in the local hobby store, mostly shop at ZNO-RC's .tried to buy things from them used instead of new. That way I could buy more of it but, went to the wanted section on RCC as well

Lets get the party started, shall we

When I started to mock everything up to the cage was running into problems so had to redo the bottom of the cage. after getting it out of the jig. the servo couldn't be mounted the way I wanted, then the trann's didn't fit. The frame rails were to narrow. so did a quick hack job.

Before

After

ended up in the wanted section for these. made a deal with themancave to get these.

been sitting on them to figure out what I wanted to do with them.

started looking for build threads with the RC4WD blackwell. found one that i really liked. CFM your the man when it comes to building custom axle housings. so any ways mine I don't thing are coming out as good as yours.

well not much of an update, but. been trying to mate the blackwells to the tuber, and been having to many problems. so switching gears. thinking on other thought so still trying to use the custom blackwells. thoughts went on, and went to the storage unit to try and find stuff to use for the build. think I might have something I might be able to start over with. forgot I hade most of this stuff, but might come up with parts to do a build like this. will have to think on how to approach this build though.

when I was digging for parts the diablo tittle was in my head the hole time. thinking man what a pain this is. not knowing what to do about this build. But I think i came up with some thing. hope it's what going to work. will take some time a thought on this one.

one little update. I ended up looking at my custom made axles, and decided to get back with the tuber build. instead of starting over with the red cat body/rc4wd tracks. the thing was is the rotor on the axles were hitting on the frame. so was looking on how I modified the blackwells, will have them fixed and mocked up under the cage next weekend. no pic's yet. Ended up undoing alot of my work this weekend to get everything to bolt up right. so at the earliest will have pic's is this coming Wednesday. so check back often

Well with it getting -8 during the nights. Ended up not having the will to go out in the shop, and working on the the cage. So ended up doing a deal with my buddy for another southern buggy cage. bolted up a set of wraith axles. It's running pretty much stock running gear. the shocks are the 103mm g-made zero's witch I like alot. ran it before the snow came to see how it works up in the trails I mostly use. the cage axle combo works well. I like it alot, but the only place a big lope fits is in the back of the cage. So will buy some smaller ones to fit in the front. might make it crawl a bit better.Tires not so much. like running hard rubber tires like whats on the new bright rigs being this cold the tires had no flex. onto the pics of what I could get, before the camera was to cold to work at all.

All this and not a single post by anyone?? New guys don't always get much love on here. Great looking rig I must say. The scale engine looks right at home in there. Nice work

it's kinda what I was thinking with no feed back on the build. No big thing for me, just here to win the big prize at the end

thanks, was looking at how the cage was done on this one, I might be able to use the blackwells on this hopfully. I'll be trying to mount them up this weekend to see if it'll work. If not will keep using the wraith set., and finish the interior, will post pic's if I can get the axles to work, and more of the inside of it done..

been looking at both the cages, and the blackwells. I think I can go with my origanal plan with the first cage and blackwell idea. with mocking up the cantilever steering on the axle I think I can go with the gray cage again. making it work will be alot better I think. the exo center diff is in the way for the servo to site were I need it to be, for the steering to work. so I'll be tearing both of them dowm again to see if it'll work. I want to get it figured out so don't quit on my first idea.

fighting some problems. been fighting the fake ram set up, and found out the problem . I tryed to force the steering to one side with my foot. i had to much pressure on a set screw, now the threads striped.

thinking of going back to a solid drag link. what a pain. will be running out if time to take this out to the summer comp series. Well a big let down on my part, I was wanting to do it. but thinking over 200 gates might be pushing it with these axles.

but can someone name these rimes you might get something in return if you can. custom one off set is the only clue you get.

Just came across your build. I'm digging the fake ram setup. Did you ever get it to work? It really looks great.
