" Hammer King " will be a U4 rig with IFS the basic outline of the rig being taken from Ferravanti Sr who built this rig, chassis and all in his own garage. This will be a relatively slow build that I hope to have ready for ECSC . I haven't iron out all the details yet but I will be making my own control arms and using a 1/10 Summit front remote locking diff, MIP Slash front axles, MIP drive shafts, Wraith rear axle and tranny, all beefed up with HD gears of course. After seeing this rig I just loved the way it looked and decided I just had to build it, plus I've been wanting to add an IFS to my stable for some time now. First thing I ran into problems with was not finding hardly any pictures of this rig, no build thread at all and only two short video clips of it running so I had to basically sketch the outline of the rig as you see and figure out as best as I could as to how I think the rest of the chassis was designed and put it down on some grid paper to the actual size I wanted to use as a template. So this is what I got so far. I figured since with this rig I wanted something more capable on a U4 track I'd go with the Kyosho Velvet shocks from Super Shafty. When I decided to go IFS on my build I figured I'd try something different and use the front diff from a 1/10 Summit so I could have control of locking the diff when in the rocks or unlocked for the high speed sections. |

| Re: Hammer King I hope so ! Lol... at the moment it's a pain in the rear ! Since I wanted to use Slash MIP cvd's because the length was perfect I need to either buy 6mms ends since they are 5mm or drill the holes out to 6mm to fit the outputs of the Summit diff and the Vanquish Knuckles I got need some light trimming to fit the joint of the cvd's as well.

One of the sites I found for upgrade Summit parts who supplies hardened diff gears and cnc machined aluminum parts. As soon as I get more money together I will be getting this setup. www.truckmonster.de - Modellbau nach Maß |
