| Szczerba's Logging Rig, Build #59
Build #59 since 2007 Some bruder pieces will be used. Won't be super scale accurate but alot of my builds arent. Seen a similar build and an idea popped into my head. Simple 4-link frame, printed wheels and 2.2 tars |

Yep, those red pointy things and ten servos later, you got a log jamming autocorrecter.

Now we're talking! Are you going after the skidder or log loader look? The Cat 535 and 545 are animals! I've been trying to go drive one at work for a while now.

Are you ordering Chinese food? I'm lost but never mind, it's ok. Indeed! It will work but wont look good. Quote:
Forwarder/semi-scale-ish build. I am a forester but not an operator. Waiting on final axles before I continue much further.

This is going to be awesome. My dad passed away 9years ago and retired as a log truck driver. He drove from the age of 24 till he was 58. Worked for crowman out of Oregon for most of it. You have got to be a strong sumbitch to do that kind of work so much props to you. Good luck with your build and I will be following it.

Strange looking CXT you are building there. Is this one going to be an 8 door 8x8? |

Why any suspension on this? 1:1 are stiff right?

What's a CXT and who sells them? Like a traxxas? Quote:
Indeed, log truck drivers are in their own class. Hard working folks. I was an equipment operator for a short time while in forestry school. Just a plain old forester now. Correct stiff and center chassis pivot on 1:1. This is not a full scale build. Really just wanting the rough look of a forwarder, as I dont want to spend much time on this build. I do have a more scale accurate build brewing in my head for the future. Mocking up things, hastily and sloppy.

What? I didn't read that. Suspension coming along and hood cab falling into place. This is not a full scale looking build. Just wanted to get the chassis built quick and easy and let the tires and body do all the showing off.

Nice start! You should consider 4ws since you aren't doing a center pivot.
