Default The Leper or: How I came to build Tubes McBoobs

Howdy everyone! Welcome to my last 2.2 build (at least for a while). I need a seriously competitive C3 rig since we have a local arms race going on.

Build list will be as follows;

China JK front clip, doors and interior
316 Stainless tube truggy cage
TSS aluminum chassis rails
Scalerfab sliders (something to build off of)
Dinky DDK.2 with comp mounts
Dravtech shocks with my own springs
DLUX SSD_Lux front axles x2 (SSD Diamond AR44's under it while I'm waiting on axles to be built)
1.9 hyraxes turned into 5.125" 2.2's
CI foams
Hitec 7950's x2
CC 20a BEC (why have 2 things to go bad?)
Tekin Roc412
Castle MMX
Tons of other misc. BS

Time to shut up and post pics. Got the main roll hoop done today and brazed in. This took the longest since it'll be the "foundation" of the cage.

Minor update

Some more body parts fell off. A few more tubes were bent however they haven't been fully fit and brazed in. Had some minor family issues to deal with so I didn't have as much time as expected.

Axles got built though! Next week I need to design a panhard mount for the axle. Still iffy on trying it without a truss, or designing my own and incorporating into the mount. Link mounts not attached to the tubes yet, waiting to get chassis a little more done so I can mock it up fully. Also need to design some higher offset front wheels and hubs to narrow it up a bit. Currently at 11" wide, would like to be between 10.25 and 10.5". Also picked up some good condition, 2nd hand alum knuckles to put these on a bit of a diet. Assembled axle weight came in at right around 1lb 2.0oz.

Thanks! Hopefully I have time to work on it this weekend. Currently on day 23 of 12 hour work days and just don't have the energy when I get home.

Changing up the electronics slightly. I just ordered a Holmes Magnum 13T and will power it through a BRXL. I keep thinking I'm done with brushed setups, but they continue to get better.
