I believe there is crawlers out there almost every Sunday. I will be making it this sunday for sure to try out my new tires and wheels.

I ordered some PitBull Rock beast last night to put on the new wheels. I couldn't really get the original Ripsaws off the Honcho, thanks to axial for that, because they are glued on . I just needed a reason to order new tires...

You will love the pit bulls. I have a set on my wraith and they are the best tires I have used. I have been thinking about getting a set for my bully and might get a set for my scx10 after I change the body. Right now they won't work with the body I have since I run 2.2 tires on everything and the pit bulls in 2.2 are wide. It will probably be a couple of weeks before my group gets out to Moss rock. I just talked to one of my friends and he said he will try to get his stuff swapped and parts ordered to make it to the scale trail run on the 2nd up at moss rock. If I can get the money up for a new body I will have my wraith and scx10 going by then. My scx10 is going to be parked till I get a body except to use it to tow my trailer for the bully.

I hope they are good as all the reviews I have read. I think I am going to do a new body on mine very soon. I cant decide which way to do. Chevy Silverado or Jeep wrangler.

I almost went with the swampers. The truck should crawl a lot better with weighted wheels and new tires. How much weight are you guys putting in the fronts wheels and rear wheels.

Motorworx racing beadlocks and Pit bulls!! These turned out great looking IMO. Just a quick question though. Do you guys cut a breather whole in the tire anywhere? The tires have a lot of air inside and dont deflate at all. The beadlocks seal them rather well

Those look good. I usually put the breather hole in the wheel itself mainly because I have ripped a tire before after putting a breather in it. If you are planning on going through water or mud you need it in the tire so it is easier for the water to get back out. I just try to keep mine out of water and if I do get in it I squeeze them out really good while still on the trail and take them apart to dry when I get home.

Also on the weight thing. When I was running mine with the honco body I ran 3oz per front wheel which seemed to work very well.

so it would be ok to drill a couple small holes in the backside of the rim? I stay out of water with mine. Strictly on the trail on rock. No water.

I always put 2 small holes one directly across (180) from the other closer to the iside of the wheel so it isn't really visible from the outside so much. If you want a pic of mine I can post one or send you one.

Think I will just give them a try like they are first. I stay out of water because my truck is not water proof.

I have been reading through this forum and thinking I need a BEC. Are you guys running a BEC. The response to steering and throttle is glitchy sometimes when I am running my 8.4 5000mah. When i run my 7.2 4000mah I dont get the issue. I see it has been covered a hundred times on here. Just want your thoughts.

Thanks

If it helps any I always put a bec on all my crawlers before the battery ever gets hooked and the only one I have used that I have had good luck has been the castle creations bec.

Depending on the wheel design, you could drill into and meet a screw hole. That way when running in water you can put the screw back in.

Ordered a BEC and deans connector to change out all the connectors I have.

Also i turned off the Lipo shut off on my ESC which made a huge difference. I was getting a very glitchy trottle response and turning response prior to that setting. The setting for Lipo is defaulted on as a factory setting. I re calibrated the ESC with my drag brake set higher and also for my forward and reverse. It is amazing how mucg difference that made.
