You can rotate the rear pinion up so it's pointing straight at the tranny if you want. I wouldn't raise the front pinion at all, I actually lower mine to gain some caster;)

With the RCP Crawlers clockable C's and high clearance knuckles you can actually raise the pinion angle and still gain a touch of Castor.

It's a weight bias thing. Technically, the terminology never made sense, but the idea is there.
That is because the term 60/40 has nothing to do with links. I came up with the term and the reasoning for it.;) RCGuy sold the first product developed using it, and because that product used shorter links in the front that is what many people took the term as meaning.

Ummm.....no, the 2 mounting options on those are:
stock(if the kingpins are vertical the pinion is pointed up a little)
or it actually rotates the pinion down level if you use the other holes and keep the kingpins vertical(like a TLT is).;)

Well my pinion is pointed up a touch. Not much, but it is a few degrees up...and I've got a few degrees of castor.....unlike my sons truck running stock knuckles and C's. You could keep the pinion level and have more castor if you like.

One thing though,my front links are custom made,so "stock" configurations are out the window. I set everything where I wanted it,then built my links to fit.

I'm just saying the RCP C's don't clock it up anymore than the stock C's do8-)

so it's getting better..... Can climb 63* slopes now

I have internal springs from hardwear store. stiffer ones in the front because of all the extra weight. Softer ones in the rear with an elastic on the passenger rear.

Question...

what does it mean when the front end bounces around when trying to climb something? link placement in the front?
