Default My DNA Axial!

well The Hustler just wasn't performing well in our terrain so I decided to do a rebuild. Thanks to the help from Solomon at DNA I was able to build one sweet rig. I have more I want to do to it but first things first I need to make the swap to LiPo.
Tech list:
Axial axles & tranny
revo shocks with jato springs
Panther Cougars (with special foams)
Tekin FXR esc
Holmes Handwound 35t motor < plan to swap out for a 7t puller
JR Z9100T steering servo
JR DS3421 dig servo
MIP/Thundertech short drive shafts (front and rear)
DNA Aluminum Slingshot chassis & links
DNA clear upper chassis braces
DNA rear link plate
DNA Dig
DNA Motor plate
DNA Sniper beadlocks
and topped of with a JConcepts Stage Killa body
Heres some pics of it at this weekends comp. I will post more once I get it cleaned up.

I will post more pics tonight. All I have at home is dial-up so I will get the pics up when I get to work. As for the steering it was pretty simple I will be sure and take some good shots of it. Well I didn't place that well. I think 5th or 6th, but I haven't had any drive time on it at all before the comp. I still need to tune the shocks some and it should be dialed. I also need to get on the rocks and get some time behind the wheel. I have to drive this totally different than the Drooped Hustler. After the comp a couple of use played follow the leader and I pulled some lines that the others couldn't. To be totally honest after I get it dialed and drive it a little more the Bergs aren't gonna have much advantage.

Oh and heres some pics of the steering setup. I need to take it apart and replace the make shift spacer on the drivers side, but other than that it works great.

This rig handles so unbelievably well. I really wish I would have built the rig sooner. Oh well I had to give the Tube chassis a try for myself. Now I know better and I won't be looking back. These Revo shocks are smooth as glass and the curved skid was a well thought out design. I can't wait to get my higher gearset for the front to go along with the puller and 11.1v I will be installing soon. As well as it does now It should be insane once I am done.

Ok about the puller motor, Just my honest opinion, My DNA rig with a 3s lipo and a 55t Tekin motor has LOTS of wheelspeed, And LOTS of torque. A puller motor is great but I think you might end up with TOO much. You would think that with that much power on tap that it would be really sensitive. I've considered a puller but I think i'm gonna go with The Holmes Handwound Torque motor.

I have owned a 7t puller before and on 9.6v it was awsome. Right now I am running a Holmes hand wound 35t and it is great as well but I am running an 87t spur and 16t pinion on 9.6v right now to get the wheel speed I want. With a puller and 11.1v I will be able to run a 90t spur and 12t pinion I should have about the same wheel speed and alot more torque. I am ordering a set of the higher gears and a set of the lower gears. That way after I make all the changes I can decide from there what set to install. The highers up front or the lowers out back.

From what axial says you "Cant" Run the high's in the front and lows in the rear... To much bind..

Have to do Stock Front, low rear, or high front, stock rear.

Ah ok i misread your post, My bad

I just ran full droop at the Socal Comp yesterday. Did OK. Relized its just to low... So i went back to sprung

20 wt Baja5b Oil (Not synthetic)
1.1 Jato springs all around.

I really liked this setup. We'll see!
