Man that's a tough one. Both chassis are great, but the slingshot is low. I'm going against my build, and pick the slingshot! Traitor!

SWX looks easier to set up, the ss seems more tuneable to me with the included radio and 4 link plates. Also leaves room for rod end choice. I go with slingshot.

I'm a newb so I'm not even voting in your poll, however I ordered a SWX chassis kit yesterday. Out of everything I've seen and read on this forum I like it the best. No surprises, big name manufacturer, cool colors, tried and true. Can't go wrong.

^^^ also a very nice set up. I just built a black widow chassis myself and really like it. At my local comps top 3 guys run a black widow, swx, and GC2. So anyway you go, im sure you will be able to find a set up that suits your driving style. |

alright this is easy: slingshot=droop=low GC= great for climbing and sidehilling SWX=benders design=flexy and smooth = great for tight areas and breakovers. If you are a lead foot, go with the slingshot if you're slow and a finesse driver, go with the SWX i own a slingshot |

I coundn't decide so i have both they are both very cappable rigs. Yeah very close one that, no clear cut winner IMO..... SWX= heaps of articuation with losi 4" shocks Slingshot= low and not much articulation with traxxas GTR shocks As the sayin goes "Horses for courses" Last edited by mint355; 03-12-2009 at 05:55 AM. |

Slingshot all the way! Very predictable and balanced. I love mine. I will be building an MOA soon and will probably use a Slingshot on it as well. |

| I voted for the SlingShot. No offense, but I view the SWX as a revamp of the stock chassis with some major improvement. Most major of those improvements being narrower and more setup options. There was a lot of time and engineering put into the development of the SWX, but I feel that a majority of that effort was to make it a bolt on product. The SlingShot chassis has amazed me. The curved skid plate is freaking brilliant! When properly setup, I'd be sufficed to say that the SlingShot chassis might very well have the best break over ability. It is an extremely well taught out design. After the installation of all your components, you'll find that the openings on the chassis allow for easy access with tools for tuning or replacing parts. This feature in it's self was a shock to discover. There are many things to consider thou.... For example, the SlingShot is a wider chassis. So if you're driving style requires a narrower chassis then I would recommend choosing the SWX. Also, you'd likely need shocks, which are different from stock, for the slingshot. Good luck with your choice. One guarantee is that either chassis will be an improvement from the stock setup. |

Can one of you slingshot owners tell me what the length is from the front most shock mount to the rear most shock mount?
