I had to many issues with the Axial one backing off..The nut would just shoot off when she was bound up in rev..so I tried out the Hot racing metal gear slipper combo..but the slipper pads were junk. The slash spur is strong and the pads seem to hold up better then all others...It seems to work the best out of all the rest I have tried with her motor spur combo...epic 45 with a 12T pinion on 3 cell lipo. On the other hand my oldest daughters factory axial slipper has held up with a 55 turn 14T and 2 cell lipo.

What did you have to do to mount the slash slipper, was it a direct fit?

(Search slash slipper mod). That is what I used for the install. It is a great thread...It all bolts up you just have to drill out the shaft for the slash pin
