Default DMG C-10 Truckee build for my son

My son and I have been working on converting a pretty much stock AX-10 roller to a DMG C-10 Truckee. So far, I'm very pleased with the build. Anyone have any advice on the shocks? It's all bolted to a Reign Widemouth chassis.

We stuck a Sidewinder and Tekin 55t motor in it. I'm also going to be putting split packs on the axles instead of running the battery weight up high in the cab, but he's just absolutely thrilled with it. Now I just have to teach him that there's a position on the throttle between stop and full!

Right now, I just need to strap down the front link plate with the ESC on it and tidy up the wires a bit. Then we'll be ready for a little crawling this weekend!

The rig looks great, looks like a Crawler Graphics paint job
You are an Awesome DAD!

My son will be 2 this month, he already trys to work on the stampede putting screws up to the wheels-and holding screwdrivers by it.

The world needs more fathers like you. I remembered eveything my dad done with me when I was little. It shapes your childs future. I'm jealous.

Yep, this one was done by Mike. I also have the red/black Bronco he did and both are exceptional paint jobs.

Your son is well on his way to being your helper! My son was doing the same thing with my RCsat that age and has always been right there to help me work.

It's a great setup, Zorlac. He's loving it and I'm fairly impressed that it's a lot more controllable than the stock tVP setup.

Well, we worked on the concept of "slow" and throttle control on some small sections of garden rocks. Was pretty ok, until he go excited the threw the radio (DX3S) and snapped the antenna hinge. I was able to keep my lid from blowing, but almost lost it. I can't tell you how many antenna's he broken since he was really little and I thought the short DSM antennas were safe.

Hey, his rig looks better than some of mine .

Were you planning to bring it to the GTG? We should have no problem finding some challenging terrain for it, looks great .

Awesome Nate! Glad to see it up and running! Looks like he's enjoying it! Nice touch with the Army decal.

I know how fun it is to get the kids involved, I just bought my boys and I short coarse trucks. What a blast!

Yeah, I'm planning on bringing it, but he's got a date with Grandma that day. I should have 3 trucks with me.

He ran it with the Elite 1500 6-cell pack on the axles and got over 30 minutes out of it. It actually wasn't run down at that point either, because it outlasted his attention span.
