They go inside the axles to provide strength and support. See the installation thread ( *REVISED* gunnar beef toob install) and you can get a better idea. |

| I ran my AX10 about 1 million packs through it and never did hardly any upgrade. Never really broke either. That said, I would'nt think so.

If there's any reason why they are "nice" it is the ability to clock the C's back for more caster {really improves the ability to turn without a "dig" unit. Only disadvantage is I guess they don't work to good with VP knuckles |

Even with little or no caster, the extra 1.5 oz down low, and not added to rotating mass in the wheels/tires, is almost worth it by itself. I've also found that screwing my Cs into the toobs feels much more secure than just screwed into the plastic housing. I had one housing stripped out and another on the way to stripped out before I put toobs in my front axle. |

Felsenfast Knuckles, CVD's and HR C's again no dramas. Maybe it was the fact that you made them, which caused the issue. There is more than one reason that these are a good product. These reasons has been highlighter to many times for me to list them again. Last edited by Highlucks; 04-06-2011 at 10:43 PM. | |

Back to the issue at hand. I was to cheap to buy beef tubes and built my own alumi-tubes based on the concept of the beef tubes. While doing it I also drilled a hole in my hand which was really weird to watch heal, but thats another forum. Anyway here is the overall benefit the way I see it. If you are running a front end of any rig loaded up with weight, and a strong servo I personally think you are bound to have some failure of some kind or another like riping a chub off the axle. Anyway, metal on metal is always a winner. then you get the benefit of caster as well.
