Nice, I'm watching this. I mocked up my GC3A with the axles off my Wraith for fun one night but saw some clearance issues with the lower links and the driveshaft due to the offset on the Wraith axles. I'm sure it could be worked around but like I said it was just for kicks when I did it.

Ckrc berg axle lockouts, right? They take a 12mm bearing, will you be using 6mm rear shafts?

Is this in the proper sub-forum? And why are you narrowing the axle width? |

well made to the lhs yesterday and most of the parts i need for the axles except i need to find lockers that will take 6mm shafts maybe i can sweet talk john in selling me 2 of his with out the ax10 shafts. i have not decided on a tranny yet thats still up in the air. i will post some pics later. my next project is to build a broch to spine the cut down frnt axle so iam not relieing on two screws to hold the chub in place. |

Well Lars was out today and we narrowed both of the housings all proper like in the lathe after making a jig to hold them. Put together some cool ideas, looks as though my stacks case may take the place of the standard tranny for our sporty builds due to the gear range that will be available. up to 33:1 in the trans alone. I think alot of people may be interested in this new axle if it works as good as hoped. I will offer the service of narrowing for those that want it. |
