Default AX 10 Driveshaft Help

Let me start by saying I have been a lurker here for a while. Lots of reading the past month plus.

I have an AX 10 with a MFM Black Widow Chassis. I just replaced the driveshafts which were Integy with MIP Spline units.

The trucks wheel base is almost 14 inches with the Black Widow Chassis. A bit on the long side. I do not get a lot of insertion with the splined driveshaft.

Should I look to shorten the wheelbase. (Shorter Links. Right now I am using axial 101mm bent links for the lowers) or try to see if MIP make a longer female side of the driveshaft?

Also, For anyone that has run this chassis, is that a pretty standard wheelabase for this chassis?

Thanks
Chris

depends on if you want to comp with the truck or not. i think the sportsman class limits wheelbase to 12.5 inches. if you just need a little more length you can run the longer mip coupler. its made for using mip shafts in the wraith, i run one on my fastback since the rear shaft was a bit short.

If you don't intend to comp Junfac makes drive shafts formany trucks. The one for the cc01 is much longer than than stock. They even sell individually. Check here.

If you do ever want to comp you'll be needing to shorten the wheel base though.
