Im sure you will get lots of comments for MIPs (probly some flamming too). Ive never tried MIPs but I run traxxas shafts with metal rings around the yokes and the hold up to Holmes Hobbies 35t plus they are light and cheap. Steer clear of Intergy (also known as interjunk) Nik |

I have MIPs on my AX10 and have not had one single issue with them, and I do not treat it on the easy side, it is being pushed with a 27t with 20 tooth and 80 tooth gears everything else is stock, she sure gets treated rough.

If your not breaking Integy shafts then this means two things. One, your the first. Two, you must not be very hard on equipment. The traxxas shafts are cheap if you already have the steel outdrives to go with them, but if you gotta buy it all then you may as well buck up for the MIP's. I'm slowly converting my fleet over to them as I can afford it. Their only downside is they are the heaviest driveshaft on the market, but the heft brings the beef. I've run the Revo joints made easy for a while and they hold up decent enough, but they rob to much clearance on the 1.9 trucks. Eventually the plastic output yokes will twist and egg out enough to loose the U-joint, but it takes longer than with the smaller Traxxas shafts. I ran the Junfacs for a while. The holes for the cross pins got ovaled out and split eventualy. I broke two pins in two years, not bad. Covering the pins in two layers of heatshrink is a must, otherwise you'll be looking for those pins on the rocks. Their major flaw is that the slip spline is a D shape that binds very badly when under torque making for quirky suspension action. It's also very hard on the axle's pinion and trans output bearings. |

MIP all they way. I have had 0 issues for years and I treat them very badly. Rebuild kits are cheap. Eventually the holes oval out but a drill press is all you need to make a new set of holes.

again for the MIP, the only issue i had is not really a problem, but, if you change to add a dig unit, if you shorten the rear shaft, watch the splines, they dont go full way.......very annoying, these shafts would be better with full length splines of course then again you could just order the dig shaft ...... |

Another here with mips. Only problem I've had was snapping crosspins. Drill bit shanks seem to hold up better as replacements. 3s&4s sensored brushless.

I'm still using my stock kit shafts from 4 years ago. I'm probably due to upgrade.

I would go with MIP's they are beef! I just got some for half price at TCS for $34.00 I also had Janfac's and they are ok, but the MIP are way better in everyway.
