Default best driveshafts?

the pins in the "u joints" in my set of plastic driveshafts fell out so i replaced them with some aluminum ones made by 3 racing(the only thing my lhs had).
and now i broke both the front and rear driveshafts at those same pins, this time instead of falling out they just broke..
i cant get the pins out to use a paperclip or something in there so im wondering who makes the best driveshafts,
i think ive seen a different type of driveshaft but dont know who makes them

my truck is completely stock with some chisels on there,
the rears broke when it was kind of in a bind and i tried to gas it out but the front broke trying something really easy that i had done a few times without any issues and really shouldnt have broke....

any help is appreciated

I seen most guys use the yokes like your eric.
my lhs didnt have any when I was needing em.
so I ended up with a stamped shaft with what I think was e revo metal yokes?

I'll see if I have a pic.
the yoke is all metal. and its overall length is a bit shorter.
but they are fat, back fits with no mod at all. but you will want longer grubs.

the front at the axle requires no mod. but the front at trand under the spur is to tight.

I had to grind the outer perimiter of trhe yoke. but its so fat there no worries.

but if you replace the 1953 6 pack with traxxas part no. 1951 , you get 2 of each shaft (enough to do front and rear) and 4 of those center balls(also enough to do front and rear), if i knew this in the first place i could have saved myself like $8 lol

if anyone is confused, buy 2 packs of 1539's and one 1951

I am a lazy man, so I used a set of MIP shafts, no issues, not super cheap though...

my mongoose ate stock driveshafts until i did the traxxas deal 2#1539 and 1 #1951 not afraid to use the throttle anymore even held up to my three cell tests its the way to go and its cheaper in cost than stock replacements

Can someone post a link to some place where I could buy the Traxxis driveshaft? I have tried to do a search on my computer, but I dont know exactly which one to get, or a place that sells them. Where do you guys usually buy them from????

the mips are the s**t!!! i was snapping pins left and right... since i got the mips, i havent had a single problem! and they look awesome! you can order them straight from mip for 45$ a pair... theres a guy that found them for 28 bucks for a pair! i dont remember where he found them though! but the mips are tough as hell and you have any regrets if you buy them!!!!!!!!!!

The MIPs are pricy, especially posted to the UK BUT after building them I wouldnt have anything else not tried them yet but the quality simply oozes from them. Neater than the traxxas mod too.

i run the mini revo axle shafts that go from the diff to the wheels. sorry dont have the part no#but easy enough to find. buy four axle packs. pretty cheap. trade out yokes, u don't even have to trim or cut the shafts downand they are bullet proof, seriously

ps. i drilled a small hole in the pinion shaft for the pin to go all the way thru.
