Default Isyeskeert's AR60 Kinda-Lightweight Build!

Maybe I was in the wrong section, but I got what seemed like a limited response from the locals... No offense to any active followers, but the Scorpion guys get all the love!
Here is how I got to this point. Yes, it began life as a 'Ridge, but, I am going to show it with the other sportsman builds!

Okay, I thought that this was the pinnacle. It was modified as far as the factory chassis would allow. I had done all of the mods! It was a floundering turd..... It spent more time on the roof than on the rocks!

So, then, I started to change my ways. I needed to give the axles a new platform. Something lighter, more nimble, I chose a Gatekeeper chassis for my new framework.
This will not be the last chassis that I use in my pursuit of AR60 awesomeness!

Alright, we'll allow it. But only because of the Betty body. I still have mine somewhere here.

Got a pic from above showing the triangulation of the links with the wider axles?

Did those upper link mouting plates on the axles bolt up without modification?

The links all needed some modification, and none of the straight rod ends that came with the kit were used. I used Wraith upper links that were shortened and did away with the Gatekeeper upper axle mounts because of the leverage that would have eventually stripped the screwholes in the axle truss. I have found 3/16 inch aluminum rod that I am forming for new upper links that will be mounted to my homemade upper axle mounts. I have made an aluminum servo/ battery mount for the front axle that will have the links mounted directly to it, as well. I will have pics of the new upper links and mounts when I am done. The rear links are almost done but the fronts will happen later, seeing as I still have to buy a new charger for the smaller batteries and will not have any to mount to the new plate.

I am currently at 4.5 pounds rtr weight. The battery, esc, and wheels will eventually all get lighter. I haven't even shortened up any of the wiring yet, since I am replacing most of the electronics and will reuse them on other projects.

I spent a little time reworking my rear links and rear bracket last night. I used 3/16 aluminum tube, drilled and tapped it, pretty standard stuff.... What I did get was more clearance for everything, throughout the whole movement of the rear axle. The driveshaft didn't hit before and now, it has plenty of room all around it! I am still getting "read up" on suspension geometry and this is supposed to be an improvement!

You need to stand those shocks back up.

What is your wheelbase?

There we go! I take criticism well. I haven't limited these shocks yet, was waiting to see where the suspension stood when I was done and then bring the shocks back up. The thing was a monster truck with them up. So, simply stated, they will be stood back up

I am at 12.5 inches on the wheelbase. The crazy proportions of the body make me think that it is too long from time to time, I love the pushed out look. When I change the body, I am going to have to do something similar with my new body.

As for the criticism, I welcome it. This is my first full on build and I am enjoying it so far, but reference materials for these things are only found in the forums like RCC. I moved it to this category simply because of the ways that you Scorpion guys exchanged ideas and criticisms.
