Exclamation Isyeskeert's GC-3AR60 Sporty.

Alright, I had been trying to build the ultimate crawler/ basher, but, I was unsatisfied with the crawling performance. My need for speed was taken care of, but it was not worthy of competition crawling. I had installed an overdrive gear in the front axle and then I went to a comp this past weekend. My crawler was too big, too heavy, and incapable of clearing the first 3 gates of the course. These guys (and a gal) had these lightweight sportsman crawlers that !killed me in every aspect. I had been trying to find a chassis that I would like and found a discontinued Gatekeeper GC-3A that looked like it would work. With a little modification, IT DID! I have smooth articulation with no binding and less weight. I will be adding more pics soon, and hopefully some competition scores!

Need more pictures. Looks pretty good some side on pics would be great, not many people take the crawler route with the ridgecrest but with the ar60's you can do it either way.

Soon! That was just a red-eyed, done after midnight pic. There are definitely more to come!

Looking good. You will be happy with the Gatekeeper chassis. It will probably be the first AR-60 axle set-up on that chassis.
Slap that thing together and come to our comp this Saturday.
Posted in the comp section. I will let you drive my XR-10 or Berg and see what you think about it.

The rear pinion kicks up with the links, no bad angles.

Another view of the rear pinion angle.

The front links and pinion are relatively level to the ground.

Sorry about the blurry pics, I tried. Maybe I need to spend a little less on the crawler and buy me a new camera... I doubt it!

It was good to meet you today. Looking forward to seeing that thing run. Looking very hard at the Gatekeeper for my AX10.

Looks like the bug has bitten you, it got me a couple of years ago. Hang on, it's a fun ride. ETRC are some great guys to learn from. I did not realize how much I didn't know.

I will be watching this one.

Nice meeting you as well! I have enjoyed meeting all of the guys of the ETRC so far. I plan on having a running an driving rig this week. It will be nowhere near finished, but ready to show me more of what needs to happen with it. This really is the first ground up build for me and I am excited to be doing it with the AR60 axles.

Ha! They never are! I walked away from the comp yesterday with things to change on a rig that I have had for about 4 years. And, yes, I have said 'it is done,' too many times.

It is a big part of the fun for me.

I did away with the rear plate and used the factory pick up points for the upper links.

The bent links gave the driveshaft clearance that was needed.
