Default Swezy207's sporty build "Buster"

Time to get back into the Sportsman class. I won't bore you with a bunch of nonsense, here's what I got so far...

I need to lengthen the front lower links about half an inch, take 1/4 inch out of the rear uppers, make body panels, electronics need to go in, drill new holes for the servo, and a few other odds and ends. I have a comp Sat., I should be able to be ready for it. Let me know what you guys think!

Needs more chrome and less green. Won't crawl otherwise.

When I extend the front lowers, I will put some grey uppers on it just for you Mike... Lol I can't chrome the whole thing... Just the servo/battery mount! Haha! Wait til you see the body panels when I get them done, gonna be killer.

I'm just playin jake. Rig looks awesome. In your hands it's gonna thrive as a winner and make some impossible lines.

Great looking rig.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I think you might want to put shrinkwrap, or at least some electrical tape, over the wires/posts on your ESC. I'll refrain from giving you crap about the ugly solder job, cause maybe it's just the camera, but it would suck if you broke a wire off and shorted the esc = new esc and possibly battery. Only mentioning it cause I've had that happen once.

We're awaiting pics of it rocking the rocks.

Well, I just took 1st place at my first comp with this rig! It handles great. There are two things that I need to fix, the front lower links need delrin over them (duh) just didn't get to it yet. It did hang me up on a few ledges today. I already knew it, just didn't have time. Secondly, turning radius was ok, but I do have CVD's on the way. That should help out a lot.

Thanks... For the most part. The solder job I thought was decent, maybe it is the camera. The wires are on there good, there not going anywhere. I appreciate your concern about putting tape or something over the posts tho.

As for pics, not sure if Jetboat got any of it or not. I put it on part of the course and snapped a pic, but it's not an action shot or anything... My battery is not even plugged in. Lol, here it is...

I rebuilt the front axle... Installed beef toobs, clocked the C's, installed Axial CVD's. Now I'm having some issues... Idk how I'm going to make a steering linkage that clears everything AND gives me full throw. Any ideas?

i did a bent front link, or arched more then bent, it leaves bout a 1/4" over the pumpkin at full lock, i have the xr mod with tons of throw.....lots of room left, kinda kicks it out front a bit, not too bad though...but i do have a set of the vp wraith knuckels on the way, and a bta setup planned,
