| I gave in.... Wonder how long it will remain stock?
Finally got one yesterday and built it up. I still have to mount all the electronics, and tweak the shocks a bit. I think I will be limiting the travel more, it has way to much flex for my taste. I had to go up to the Hobby shop to pick up a new 1.5mm hex driver, as mine broke over the weekend. While I was there I also picked up a rustler body to run on it for now. I plan on using the stock lid once I build a scale frame for it. Here are a few pics of it I took last night. |

I'll give you a week to keep it stock. I took the shock shafts out and put them in a set of Traxxas Big Bores because the plastic shock caps kept on popping off for me. This lowered the ride height a little but made the truck handle much better. I used the axial pistons and 80 wt oil with the red traxxas springs. RCP is supposed to have some goodies coming out soon for the truck, I have not had any problems with anything on the truck except the shocks but I will probably order the whole catalog from RCP to make it bulletproof. I have noticed that the top link is loose on my truck where the ball and socket are on the axle. I t has not broken yet but I'm still working on a fix for that. Enjoy your truck! |

Nice compact little tranny isn't it? What are you planning to put in it for power Mike? Leave it stock at least through this next comp, and we can check out our "spec class" with our 2 stocker AX10's I've got mine bone stock with a 55t. |

I'll be using my 65 lathe motor in a D5 can, and the shocks will be tweaked some, might add a little weight? Dunno yet. It will probably remain stock for a month or so, I don't have the time to build anotehr scale frame just yet.

You'll last about 15 minutes then get fed up with the tires.

Chances are very good that this will end up as another scale rig, so I don't mind if the tires are not the best. That and I am to cheap right now to buy tires for it |

I would still call that stock, others might say it has then been modded. But if I am using the stock axles, chassis, tranny, links, and shocks then I consider it stock.

Pics? Running Losi springs all around to lower the rig. Its powered by a good ol' Super rooster and 65T lathe motor tucked inside of a D5 can. Steering is powered via a Hitec 5645 servo. And I squeezed a 8 cell 1400 pack in the stock location, just fits under the body. |
