| If the metal pivot is machined and then the metal pivot ball is swaged in, no problem. Just can't pop new ball in and out...if made well should last. Beefier plastic piece made from better plastic would be my choice though.

You know another option is boiling the stock ones...will cause the plastic to gain some flex and lose some of the brittleness causing it to snap.
