Some great ideas there. I really like the upper link mounts and trans plate

Thanks, it had taken many a brain cell to get to this point. I like the build but it has been a fight the whole way thru.

Upper link mounts are sweet. Nice CF work too Wes, what thickness is that?

The upper link mounts were out of necessity, but I was really pleased with how they turned out. I used 1/16" CF for all of it. The front servo mount was two pieces of 1/16" sandwiched together.

Here is a pic of the body I am thinking about. It will take a little cutting, but it should work well. Biggest thing is it will not be the same as all the rest!

Hi,

Very beautiful construction and very interesting, but by looking at photos, I ask a question. I do not know AR60 axle, and there is something who questions me. (AR60 axle interests me for a future rig)

The driveshaft of the front axle and the rear axle are the same with side, I concludes from it that bridges AR60 are reversible (I not sure). But in your assembly, the front axle and the rear axle are not likely to turn in opposite direction ??

Thanks

... or you also can choose the direction of installation of the spool in the axle??

With the AR axles you can turn the spool around to achive correct rotation.

Chassis looks great. About the only thing I would change is the brace over the motor, it looks like you could arch it over the motor wires more, and shorten the spacers quite a bit to bring the brace closer to the spur. Very nice work!

You are correct, the front and rear are the same. Not sure if you can see but there are holes both top and bottom for swapping around the axles. The link mounts bolt on, so they can also be swapped around. It just worked out for me to keep them as they were when I bought them.

That was a scrap piece that I added at the last minute. I needed to shift over the motor/trans but the hoop wasn't tall enough. Doesn't matter how much tme you spend looking on paper, it is never the same when you build. If I get around to it, I might just make a new side plae with a taller hoop. This would eliminate the piece altogether.

Decided to give the plastic wheels a try. Searched around and decided on the DE Racing TLR 22 front wheel. Couldn't find a descent pic of the inside or width, so it was a little bit of a gamble. At $8 a pair not that big of a deal though. Turns out these are exactly what I was looking for. Now back to eBay to purchase several more pair. Much cheaper and easier the the CF wheels I had been making.
