Default Axial SCX 10 II...just stopped running...

Bought a SCX 10 II a week ago. My first RC crawler.

Everything was perfect until yesterday. Used it for 30 min or so...went to run it again a few hrs later, and nothing.

Battery is fully charged, reads 11.6v...new batteries in radio.

Beeps when I plug the battery into the car, and light flashes....light is on the radio etc.

Any idea what else I should check?

Thanks!

From the voltage you've indicated, I'm guessing you are running a 3s battery and that is not fully charged. Fully charged 3s should be at somewhere close to 12.60 volts. I'd recharge the battery first and then see what happens.

If you're using the stock Axial ESC, AE-5, check the jumper is on the correct pins for the battery you are using - Lipo or NiMh. I believe it comes stock with the jumper on Lipo and the brag brake jumper at 100%.

By the way, an AX10 is not the same as a SCX10 II. Check the "Scale Rigs Brand Specific Tech" section for the SCX10 II. Common mistake by newbies so don't feel bad. You'll get better responses if you post in the correct section.

Thanks for the reply.
It’s an scx10 II for sure. The 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
I’ll put the battery back the charger. However- wouldn’t it be good stil at 11.8?
I’ve run it as low as 9v the last few days.
Nothing seems to have changed...it was running and then it wasn’t...the car “buzzes” and the light flashed when I plug the battery in also.

Default Axial SCX 10 II...just stopped running...

Lite is on, on the remote? Batteries in correctly?
Ride in/ through any water? If waters in receiver tray you’ll have issues...

Yep, all batteries charged and installed correctly. All lights on...
Hasn't seen any water to speak of.

It was running, and 30 minutes later it wasn't.

It was never actually confirmed by you - are your running NiMh or LiPo?

Your issue sounds like dead battery at a quick glance but report back after charging and we can help you diagnose further if it's required.

Next diagnosis questions after confirming battery is charged -

When you plug it in is there power to the servo?
Can you confirm-
-No water in receiver box
-Both jumpers are in place (they didn't fall out somehow)
-motor-esc leads are securely connected
-throttle trim on transmitter is set 0 (if not, the esc won't initialize)
-Transmitter batteries are good

Definitely not a battery issue.
I think it’s the transmitter not pairing with the receiver. Went through the instructions again and it won’t pair correctly. Taking it to the shop I bought it from tomorrow to get some help.
Thanks for all the input.

It was a bad servo.
