Default Recycled build...SCX/Capra

Add some 10-15 year old Tamiya & Axial parts along with Capra parts. It's a wheeler.

It's not fancy... it'll wheel all day long.

-Capra axles, transmission, links, shocks, basically all Capra aside from Capra cage.
-SCX10 frame, shock towers
-Shocks limiters inside all, Tamiya Hummer springs up front, firmer Capra springs in rear.
-Tamiya Hilux body, or whats left of it.
-Axial AE-5 esc
-10 year old Integy 85-turn motor
-Savox servo
-Spektrum SX107 dig servo

SWEET! I figured it was just a matter of time before somebody put together a build like this, with an SCX10 chassis and Capra axles and whatnot

I only bought the Capra to do this. My oldest kid is stealing the Capra chassis/cage for his own project rig.

Yes, slowly working on naked pictures.

Yep, part of windshield is missing from 2008 when it was a video rig, OG GoPro used to reside there.

At least it wasn't a nitro crawler, but that explains it.

Dude, this is so rich. And can I ask what your son is whittling on with the cage parts?

Did you consider keeping the SCX10 trans for the added gear reduction?

Nope. I don't have any gearing issues with the 85-turn. Might like a touch more low end instant power but the slow speed control of the 85-turn is a lot of fun.

Been wheeling the crap out of the Crapa.
Untitled

My oldest kid took the unused Capra chassis/cage and made some left over SCX bits fit to it now he has a 1.9 to bust around. It's a riot to wheel.
