Default Jim's Capra kit (with pics this time!)

Here's my recently completed Goat. Our crawler track at Markham Park is closed https://markhampark.com/rc-truck-and-crawler-course/ so I've only ran it in the park across the street and there's nothing much there to challenge it but I can tell I'm gonna like it already.

Equipped with shorty 2c Lipo, Axial 27T motors and Hobbywing 1060 ESC. I have the DIG working using the recommended Spektrum servo and it's a neat feature to play with.

Rolling on AUSTAR AX-5020 1.9" 120mm tires and SSD RC 1.9" Steel 8 Hole Beadlocks.

I like the way the cabin came out.

If anyone's still on the fence, I say just get one, it was a super fun build, my only gripe was the manual that came in the box - it's riddled with errors, but the online version corrects the main flaws:

I think so, these are the ones I got https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The wheels just clear the portals w/ about 2mm to spare.

Cool, how'd you get the front panel to conform to the bend on it??

Hot air gun on it and against my workbench edge. Heat evenly and give it a little pressure.

I want one of these real bad.... trying to talk myself into or out of it. My next will be one of these or the 1955 Ford scx10II. Prolly the Capra as I have a Gen8 already.

In too am new to crawlers and already had a SCXII Unimog, so wanted something different that would also outperform it on the rocks. Today we found a park nearby that has some decent rocks and root challenges and got to better test the Capra. It cleared stuff my wife's TRX4 Sport wouldn't, and no, I'm certainly no expert driver.

I'll put up a link once we finish editing the vid.
