Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Why do all 4 rear shocks have Springs? |

Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build I'm positive a 550 can will fit fine. I'm still playing with the shock settings...the springs still might be removed and I would refill the shocks with a higher viscosity shock fluid to compensate. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Need some dual front shock action. Lol |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build I have thought about it, but I want this machine to crawl and quad shocks up front would be way too stiff IMHO. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Is that motor mount plate a wraith or yeti? Assuming its yeti? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build With the springs off on the rear RC4WD 100mm King shocks. Better? I filled the springless shocks with 55w silicone shock fluid and I'm pretty sure the sprung rear shocks are 40w silicone shock fluid. I used a Proline short course Powerstroke front spring (green spring rate) with a stock King SC blue spring and the combo feels damned near perfect. I'll find out during the shakedown test. <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/156142005@N05/36491213582/in/album-72157687690653686/" title="RR10_Bomber_30"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4402/36491213582_696a61bfb8_o.jpg" width="1200" height="740" alt="RR10_Bomber_30"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/156142005@N05/36522077731/in/album-72157687690653686/" title="RR10_Bomber_29"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4361/36522077731_14b381aaae_o.jpg" width="1200" height="847" alt="RR10_Bomber_29"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build I think it looks better without the springs. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build For now, I will using a brand new set of Axial BF Goodrich Krawler™ T/AŽ KX 2.2 Tires R35 on new Axial 2.2 Trail Ready HD Series Beadlock w/Slim Ring - IFD™ Wheels; Black. They are stuffed with Crawler Innovations Double Deuce foams. I want lightweight wheels and tires to minimize any additional drivetrain stress. The RC Bros knuckle weights provide the additional weight up front. I would like to use the stock Baja T/A KR2 tires and rims, but a SLW hub is required for the knuckle weight system. I used VP .725 SLW hubs up front and the stock plastic Axial (Long) 12mm Hex hubs out back (only until I get another pair of the VP .725s). |

Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build The way it's suppose to be. "thumbsup" |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Thank you fr8cture. Just doing some shop floor testing and the torque twist is 99% gone....no sway bar required. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Yeah I figured it would. I would get a sway bar myself just for the scale look. :ror: |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Looking awesome. Yours is the best build I've seen yet. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build You read my mind again, I will get a sway bar for looks only; just not connected to each side. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Looks great man. Does it need 725s to clear the knuckle weight system or is that personal preference? I just threw VP XD 795s on my Curries for my RR10 build and I had to step up to 600s but had more than enough clearance. I almost had it with 475s but had slight rubbing. 725s seem like they'd have a ton of tire scrub. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Thanxs. I can get away with .600 hubs on regular wheels, but I want the option of adding a full weight circle if required without having to change the hubs out; the Axial Trail Ready B/L wheels don't have as much clearance in the back with the beadlock screws. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Good stuff. So the rear drive shaft is a Yeti MIP I assume? I so want to rob the center currie off one of my wraiths for my Bomber :ror: |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Working on some of the scale details this evening. Hobby Gear Fire Extinguisher w/ Yeah Racing cradle Hobby Gear Jack LEGO rope netting for the driver's net; Found this in my son's room. I'll have to go rummaging through is room tomorrow while he's at school to see if there's another for the passenger side...lol <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/156142005@N05/36491213192/in/album-72157687690653686/" title="RR10_Bomber_34"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4431/36491213192_b146c2c000_o.jpg" width="1200" height="734" alt="RR10_Bomber_34"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/156142005@N05/36614161466/in/album-72157687690653686/" title="RR10_Bomber_31"><img src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4435/36614161466_1782abc74c_o.jpg" width="1200" height="844" alt="RR10_Bomber_31"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Replaced the front remote shock reservoirs with solid aluminum stock.
