Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build First off great build! Been watching from the beginning and am jealous that you've built exactly what I want to build already, mine is going at snail speed though :lmao: An idea on the shocks; most Ultra 4 cars use the coilover as a coil carrier only, some have very light dampening, some don't. If your valving is too stiff from running 2 shocks, pull all the oil out of one and tune the other shock to handle dampening. There are literally thousands of ways to set it up and I've already started experimenting with my Bomber to get a good combo to mimic the 1:1 racers "thumbsup" |

Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Stop it,Stop it now or president TRUMP will stop us from using our VISA to get it to our doors!!!! |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build What did u wrap your shock canisters with? That looks awesome! |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build The shock reservoirs were replaced with custom fabricated solid aluminum, drilled and tapped for mounting. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Did you see Bomber fab posted a pic of your build on Instagram? Cheers Jacob |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build That's awesome. Randy Slawson texted me earlier asking about my Bomber! I couldn't believe it when his name showed up on my phone. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Loving this build. Going to "Borrow" your reservoir idea. The farthest I have gotten with mine is removing it from the box lol. Cheers, Wade |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build So what length shocks did u end up all around? I saw earlier someone said you weren't having clearance issues with the centered axle but I thought I saw that you were running 110mm shocks which I thought was the same as stock? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build The primary sprung shocks are 110mm, the stock shocks measure in about 103mm. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build it certainly looks great, have you had it out yet? you have spent so much time with your modified trailing arm wraith on the trails and rocks i am anxious to hear what you have to say about this rig. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Thanxs. No, haven't tried 'er out yet, I'm waiting for more parts to arrive first. I am getting quite anxious though! |

Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build I'm curious to see what these "sleeves" look like. |

Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build So no 2 speed with your setup. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build In my humble opinion, if you go brushless then a 2 speed is completely unnecessary. With my Holmes 2200kv I can still hit close to 20mph but have incredible low speed control. If I added 1 tooth to the pinion I could get over 20 easily. I also have the choice of using 4s if I want more speed. If you're looking for much more speed than that then you'd be building something low and fast that couldn't crawl anyway and a granny low gear would be useless. Any brushless motor you choose for your intended use will give you a lot of range at both ends of its limits. |
Re: bilinvic's RR10 Bomber Build Exactly what SCREAMER said, sensored brushless systems doesn't require a 2 speed IMHO. A sensored motor is the key to this equation though. |
