Default Torque twist

Suggestions for getting rid of as much torque twist as possible? I'll be doing more crawling/hill climbs stuff than racing. Thanks.

Stock anti roll bar or one of the 4-5 examples on the market. The crawling performance is much more consistent. The bashing is better as well since you are not fighting the twist.

Underdrive gears & dual shock setup or swaybar to tune the twist quite a bit!

So far I have done the OD/UD gearing, added 60with oil on the one shock the twist goes to and added a sway bar. It has helped tons but I still get some on steep climbs.
I'm experimentingoing with link placement now to try to dial it in.

I moved the rear shocks back at the bottom and forward at the top. This realy helped I have a swaybar coming. I was amazed how much the shock placement on the trailing arm changed it!

rottenbelly, I am curious to hear about the results of your experimentation with moving the links around as it effects twist. I am pretty familiar with moving links on something like a SCT truck, but I have no idea what to move nor where on a crawler. I have made my own sway bar for now using bits and pieces from other vehicles and I have changed both front and rear to the 43/13 U/D gears, all of which have helped. With that being said I still have quite a bit of twist when the climbing starts to get steep.

I will say that sway bars on the back of the Bomber are just about a must. I did loose some articulation but all of the articulation in the world is useless if every time you try to climb something the chassis twists itself into a pretzel.

Thanks, some good advice. For right now I'll work with what I have. Move links, possibly move shocks rearward, try much thicker oil in rear shocks and/or dual shocks. In the mean time order a rear sway bar

Underdriving the rear (43/13) costs less than $25 and gives more benefits than just reducing torque twist. I'd start with that.

^^ Nailed it, Start by properly building the shocks as well It helps to keep the floppy donkey planted.

I put in the dual stage shock pistons with 20wt front and 30wt rear. It did help, especially seeing as how the shocks came only filled half way from Axial. I also built them with no rebound at all so they are pretty neutral.

UD rear refers to Under drive gears in the rear axle, i.e. 43:13 ratio ring and pinion.

You could add tooths on your pinion if you want more speed. I'd reckon an extra tooth would give back the same speed the UD gears are "tossing" away. It's a no brainer solution in my opinion. I'd do the same UD gears on the front axle if this was a go fast-rig, but i prefer having the front axle going just a little bit faster. Helps crawling abilities.

BTW I'm using a 0.080 Dlux sway bar.

I am running the Dlux fab Twin hammers aluminum trailing arms in the rear. No anti sway bars. twin shocks in the rear with 45 weight oil in the left rearmost shock no oil in the other rearmost shock. I had a lot of trouble with the 2 speed to get it set up but after adding a good servo saver on the shift servo, it is all good. I am experiencing some torque twist in high gear. But nothing like stock with the single rear shocks and plastic trailing arms. But I am more of a crawler guy. At which the shorter wheelbase in 1st gear the Bomber seems to love the more technical crawling. The Holmes Hobbies brushless system will stand up and talk in high gear. The only loss is turning radius is not as good at high speed although I see no loss in 1st gear I would say. Only my opinion but I am very happy with my Bomber.
