Default Which Slipper?

Building a basher Bomber. Going to run the Wraith transmission.

I have 2 slipper choices in hand. Will one of these work with 2/3S and brushless? Or do I need an aftermarket. If aftermarket, which one?

Stock Wraith Spawn unit like this with the 54t 32P gear:

And a unit like this, that came on an all metal transmission I bought. It also has a 54T 32P gear on it,

Robinson racing...I swapped my Bomber over to RR Gen 3 and can say it is a much more robust piece. The stock one was flimsy feeling when compared to the RR part.

Not sure about Wraith trans compatibility but if it uses the same slipper as the Yeti/Bomber trans the 56 tooth PN is 1556.

I converted one of my SCX's over to Traxxas slipper. It actually slips like it's supposed to, and it's adjustable.
Neither of which I've seen the Axial parts do.

How's that Robinson Racing set work?

If you're not really interested in "slipping" I'd run the top pic (32P).
That's the dual slipper that comes in the powerwagon.
It's got bigger teeth, and should hold up to the bashing better.

But in all fairness, I'm running a 3s in my Ascender, and it's 48P.

The Robinson Racing slipper is superior to the stock units but if you already have those available they'll work just fine. I've been running the old stock Wraith slipper (bottom photo) with a HH Puller Pro and 2s-4s power and it has held up fine. It does require tightening down nearly all the way and with the plastic spur you need to make sure your gear mesh is just right but I say use what you have and upgrade if you find it's inadequate.

I run 2 Robinson slippers and they're fantastic. Slip great when bound up and hold tight when not.

Either spawn slipper or 56t RR slipper.

Why the 56t RR unit instead of the 64t? I recently purchased the RR 64t slipper for my Yeti and I was thinking about getting another for my brushless Bomber. I figured the 64t would let me run slower with the same pinion size while maintaining better gear mesh.

56T is smaller therefore less rotating weight if you are going to run a ratio lower than 5:1 (not exactly sure on the smallest pinion that will still mesh, probably around 11-12T). If you plan on gearing higher than that, then the 64T is needed.

Yeti is stock 64t so I would say RR 64t is fine on that but a spawn tranny uses 56t stock, which he's going to run. Bomber tranny (which is a yeti tranny) runs 64t stock so RR 64t for your bomber will work.

With 56t spur, smallest pinion they make for 32 pitch is 9t and I'm pretty sure they'll mesh.
