Looks BADASS! I agree, that is so much more scale to the 1:1. damn I already put expensive Yeti arms and aluminum wraith axles under mine, and I would much rather have done this. i was curious if this would work and you just showed it's full potential and I'm hooked. Well done.

Thank you all for the nice comments!

The bomber is going under the knife! What gearing do you all recommend I will be running a 3s lipo?

Sweet new loot.

I run a 17t with a 64t Robison Racing slipper. 17t may be a bit high if you're only crawling. I adjust the throttle curve on my radio when crawling to give me more low end resolution. I may even go down a few teeth on the pinion. 17t on 3s while bashing and hill climbing is fun though.

Did you consider the Mamba Monster X? Adjusting the drag break (on or off) on the fly is an amazing feature. It's a feature that I couldn't live without now.

Esc, motor combo has been installed. Very happy with the new setup. I swapped out the original pinion gear to a 16 pinion gear.

Are you using anything to widen the axles? Maybe it was the older wheels in the earlier posts, but it looks like wider hubs.

I'm still waiting on axles. I did test a bit with the 1.9 Flat Irons and the stock axles. The center of gravity is awesome and rig hugs the road. Crawling was terrible, but I expected that.

Deckard I was using wheel wideners at the beginning of the build. Now the hubs are long as the wideners and it actually gives me the same stance as if I was using the wheel wideners.

Already install the rear radiator. Still need to paint the fuel cell.

Finally had some time to make adjustments. I changed out the shocks and I went with some of 90 all around. I also installed the anti-roll bar and it made a big difference. Very happy with the way it performed today.

Axial needs to take heed. People love the 1.9 SCX's... but they want a 1.9 Wraith/Bomber version as well.

How is the rear driveshaft clearance on the trans? Shortening WB and center axle have got to cause problems there. I've got TH trailing arms and beginning brainstorming and this is my biggest concern.

2nd this info from espnstang25. Also what is your axle width? I don't have any wideners and my wheels don't have the much offset. It feels way too narrow.

I added some spacers under my tranny to give some more clearance for the rear driveshaft. Sucks because it makes an already high COG even higher. Wraith or SCX10 tranny would be nice.

The driveshaft rubs with the transmission but nothing to worry it's very minimal just need to shave off the spot.

Yeah, if that's at full compression, I'd say you're good. It'll self clearance.

I started my project a few months ago. It's going slow but this post has fired me up again to get it finished. I like how this conversion makes it look more 1:1 scale. I plan to remove the rear spare tire carrier. I think it will stick out too far with this wheelbase. I may start a separate thread to show progress. I did the same conversion with my Wraith. Turn out great with the same tires as this build. Still very capable

Bomber: Integy steel tube frame with two steering billet AL Integy axles. My links are all custom lengths using threaded rod and traxxas rod ends. I will cut SS brake lines to go over the threaded rods once I am confident on the rod lengths. I can't wait to hit the trail with 4 wheel steering. I'll be like a puppy with two peters. This will have an SCX10 two speed trans. Had to drill new mount holes on skid plate.

Wraith: axles are old SCX10 take offs from G6 kit. Rear links are plastic left overs from SCX10 Uppers for lowers. Front is same as Bomber. Biggest issue was I had to relocate the speed control and receiver box to clear the servo when mounted on axle. Servo on frame would work, but limits travel and flex too much. This thing performs awesomely.

Don't let the need for custom suspension links get in your way. I made this using the threaded rod and brake line and it was cheap and easy. Here is the link for anyone interested. I plan to use Stainless Steel brake line for no rust and extra weight down low for good CG.
