The axle has less leverage on the shock, keeps the truck flatter when turning. Look at every single 1:1 truck/car/bus/racecar, the spring is as far out as possible. Just like moving the rear shock forward and back in the trailing arms, it's another tuning option.

Get 2 spring sets too, front and rear are different.

Slowly getting there:

New servo "clamped". I reversed the servo mount, shaved some of the material and used the long screws and the nuts included in the Savox box. now the servo will need to break the mount off the axle....





And the slash shocks are working great, but I used 10wt oil. Anything heavier kept the ride too stiff:

How did you outboard the front shocks? I can’t see the picture.
Also, what foams are you running? Dual stage, closed, or open cell?
