Yeti sway bar will work. You just have to shorten the links to get them right.

Seems like that might just be a pain to try and modify it. Probably be worth it to just buy the one made for the bomber for $25. The other thing I was wondering is if mounting your rear shocks to the axle would eliminate the need for a sway bar? This is a picture of Yoga truggy. Has anyone tried this with the normal rear trailing arms? |

Stock shocks would be way way to short to mount on the axle. Maybe with 120 or 140mm? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

... Pretty sure you can use the stock length if you mount the top of the shock to the fuel cell area.

A stock axial or Vanquish sway bar is recommended. Some have used piano wire in varying diameters for stiffer or softer action. The axial one isn't anything fancy, it just works. I guess I'm just not getting what you're trying to accomplish. [shrug] The Bomber is pretty easy to set up and runs great. |

The other thing is that the stock shocks are all leaking. I'm not sure if it's worth it to rebuild the stock shocks, or go for something else that is more quality and won't leak like the stock shocks have. I also am trying to be budget conscious, so that's why I'm asking about mounting the rear shocks to the axle in hopes that I won't need to waste money on the sway bar... But maybe that isn't the answer. I bought the bomber with the intention of crawling with it, so I'm just trying to get some input on a good suspension setup that won't break the bank.

Well if you have the RTR shocks, grab some Gmade XD shocks, 25$ a pair, then like 4$ for traxxas rebuild kits to steal the xrings. That will take care of leaks. If you want stiffer springs they are sold on eBay for the gmade XD. Then grab a cheap sway bar from the used market (people with kits that have upgraded to VP antirock) The kit shocks are good with xrings and the kit has a sway bar. From my own first-builder experience, the Gmade shocks with stock springs in the back, 30wt oil and the VP Antirock swaybar made the torque twist manageable. I guess I could use 1 stiffer spring on the "twisting" side but it's part of the rig and not an issue at all. Last edited by Jboucher; 01-28-2019 at 10:04 AM. |

^^This. You need a sway bar for torque twist. They just flat work on this rig. I have the kit, so the alloy body shocks. They work fine, but they do leak a bit. Not horribly, but I'm used to ALL my rigs of ALL brands leaking. I just fill them back up.

Thanks for the input everyone! Btw... Are the RTR shocks the same as the kit shocks other than the plastic caps and adjustable collar? Last edited by Nosam; 01-28-2019 at 02:11 PM. |

Not sure... I just used the blue x rings out of the Traxxas 2362 rebuild kit.

Thanks for including the picture but all the 2362 pack pictures I can find, including the one on the Traxxas site show pretty much the same thing, 4 blue o-rings. Are there any blue o-rings in the kit you have? The Traxxas 8262 GTS shock rebuild kit in the picture shows 4 rings that could be x-rings but I would like to be sure they will work. As I'm based in Indonesia with worse than zero Traxxas support, in fact Traxxas forbids RCmart from shipping Traxxas parts to Indonesia which they can do at a reasonable price in order to protect their Malaysia based "authorized distributor" which has no outlet in Indonesia and only shows WL Toys RC cars on their web site, buying these means paying $16 shipping for $5 worth of goods so it costs too much to get it wrong. Traxxas 2362 that I found. Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TRAXXAS-236...75.c1#viTabs_0 The picture you posted of the GTS rebuild kit has what looks to be the same blue x-rings that come in the 2362 package. There are no other o-rings included in the 2362 package (just the 4 x-rings) Not positive that the GTS x-rings are exactly the same, but they do look the same... hope that helps. |
