Default Front upper shock mounts?

I just installed a 550 21t motor in stock gears and after a couple medium hard hits the front shock bolt pulled though the plastic front upper shock mount.

Anyone else have this issue?

There is the one forward hole that I will use, but I see this happening again.

The Bomber will be driven a lot by my 3 yo son. He is fairly good at driving up routinely hits curbs at speed

Anyone have an idea how to strengthen the front upper shock mount?

I have seen metal versions for lowers and the rear upper but I have not been able to locate upper front metal ones :(

The screw is just 2mm threads. A nice long 2mm cap screw really tightens things up, front and rear

I use cap screws on mine, too. You may could use a washer and nut on the backside and cinch it together.

Sounds good.

I'll swap out the little all thread ones with a real screw.

This must be a fluke. I've ripped the lower rod end off of the shock shaft without hurting the upper mount. The bolts are 3mm diameter, not 2. I replaced the stock setscrews with a longer cap head bolt with a nut on the backside to make sure it wouldn't loosen up.
