Lose one or the other. Or both and braze/weld a stinger bumper on the front. Rig looks good. |

my thing is, i was thinking on installing the Proline bumper onto the body but...that would mean that the body would take the hit in a bad impact. i dunno? i do know 1 has to be removed, i just dont want my Yota busted up so easily. |

Hey guys....Long time!! haha! just got intranet back online and finally got back to my beloved hobby - R/C's heres the rig which im trying to piece back together since my seperation from the evil Buer herself.....the X Sanded the shell down using 400g sandpaper then following it back using 3M scotchbrite Primed the body using Duplicolor filler primer once the primer cured, i then again used 3M scotchbrite simply going over it with a "once over" concept just to bring out any rough spot. Now, the Fireball motor i had in it fell apart at the bell, the custom splitpack battery i made sizzled when i attempted to charge it a few nights back and it needs alot of TLC yet before its "Crawler worthy", but im getting er there slowly. lol! using the yota body and SCX10 - with the body mounts at the lowest possible position is where this is at. Im just pissed that my Fireball motor fell apart? i could use my magmayhem but its got to much highend Tq so i dunno, i think ill wait til i get a real low-end Tq motor but wont be going with that Venom POS again. lol then theres the battery - for whatever reason my brand new cells popped when charging? haha! there goes 50.00 out my window! oh well, gives me a reason to switch to LipO. mmmmm thanks |

sounds to me like you prolly got one of the cells to hot when soildering or you had to much resistance from a poor soilder joint and the part of your pack that popped got what the whole batt should have got, took me 2 trys to get the hang of batt building i used the oldest nastiest cells i had and nicd, also the nicd are more gasy prone when heated than the nimh so i figured if i could do nicd id be fine with nimh. i did some hardcore charge discharge cycles to test and they almost passed. 3rd was a charm figured out my iron wasnt getting hot enough and wouldnt hold enough heat. as soon as i switched to my 240 watt stained glass lead iron i can soilder battery bars onto cells like a 18 ga. wire to wire joint, hot fast and to the point much nicer to cells than jammen the tip of iron down into soilder glob tryen to get every bit of heat the tip had into it to get the flow goin

yea your prob right on this one Spike! although the 7.2v nimh would be my cheapest option (already own the charger, etc..) im really thinking on a whole new setp. we will see....right now i need to concentrate on geting her back up to life. with the battery taking an epic fail and the motor barfing on me along with the bodywork - i have my work cut out for me. then i need to tear into my savage and shim my diffs but that wont be for sometime. lol |

i love the yota body but i havent brought my self to buy it yet for mine!!! i am usen the integy 45t motor and a gp 3300 nimh and i get a solid 3 1/2 hours of run time on my mamba max with hitech 645 servo, to tell you the truth i only paid 24.99 for my batt at radio shack i took it apart and the cells were gp 3300 cells!! i havent been able to find the 3300 packs anymore but radio shack does carry a 3600 or 3800 cant remember which one it is but it is 24.99 now also. just thought youd like to know that about radio shack batts i found em cheaper after i bought deans ends and wire and battery bars than it was to buy a equal batt from tower hobbies
