How do the joints turn out so smooth looking? Are you sandblasting them?

Very nice looking so far. I'm digging the rear winch, I've seen 1:1 trucks with both front and rear winches but I've never seen anyone do it in 1:10th scale yet...
Thanks!!! The winch in the back is the brain child of Chino on his scale Toy. I thought it would be a cool addition to the flat bed

The joints are something that I've stuggled with for a while, but as I build more the better I get. The key is making sure the joint is clean. I sand the two surfaces to be brazed, then I use a healthy dose of flux (not the paste crap), but a good liquid from Harris. Then I heat up the joint and just barely touch the joint with the silv56 rod from Harris. It only takes a small amount of solder to make a good joint. In fact the whole bed and rock rails are made from 1 stick of rod.

I hope that helps

Ok, thats Safety-Silv? That explains why it looks different. The liquid flux helps smooth things out I think

I'm trying the flux-coated brass/bronze rods because I have a little experience with them already. I've had good results with a couple practice joints, I'm hoping that continues to happen. They were'nt pretty, but they were damned strong.

Yours and Pinchflats new Toyotas finally got me off of my lazy ass! Thanks for the inspiration dude...

That is one sexy motha. I think I like the pull pal the best though. Could it be a sneak peak at the next scale Reign product ?

I wasn't crazy about the bright green paint at first, but now it's growing on me. I like the idea of re-shaping the scx chassis. I might have to 'borrow' the idea so I can spare my Bruiser chassis of making irreversable mods.

Top notch work Kaetwo. I love the bright green with everything else blacked out, and the bed looks awesome.

LOL!!!! You know if your able to get that flux-coated brass/bronze rod to flow, you doing a ton better than I have ever done with it I love the silv56 and I've tried 45 too with great success. I also picked up a Smith Mini Torch, and I'm excited to give that a try soon

You won't be sorry. There seriously my favorite tire to date and that includes tires that I've cut and narrowed

Do you think that they would sell? If they would, I wouldn't be opposed to cranking out 20-30 as a limited run type of thing

You and me both. It's on of those colors that I just took a chance with and it worked out pretty good. Re-shaping the SCX10 chassis is well worth the effort and believe me it's a chore to get it straight, but it looks so much better when done.

Got some more done today

I love the Tekin B1-R's size as it fits perfectly in the Axial radio box with the BEC and Reciever.

I'll be working on the front bumper next

Enjoy!

You know this man.....

It's a FlightPower 1600 3Cell 25C and they work great. There a pefect size and power and with the 35x1 I have great power while still having the low speed sesitivity.

Well I've got a few more things done and had a change to comp with it last weekend and I'm very impressed. The tires work amazing and the rig comps as good as anything else I've ever built.

I also had a chance to put on another pair of Pro-Line shocks and I'll never use another shock for my scalers. There amazing!!!

I still have to install my interior, driver, window, second winch, pull pal, air tank and tune the front suspension a tad.

More to come

Well in getting ready for our UTRCRC Scale State Championship this weekend I had to get this beast all finished up (or as close as possible :-) )

I finished the lights, winch, bed, detail work and electronics.

She's freakin dialed

I still am waiting for me windshield, interior and driver. They should be here next week

Enjoy!
