do you have plans for a different set of wheels or going with the stockers for now?

No plans as of now, not sure what I'd want to run, so for now it'll be these stockers, I think they look good on it.

HS-645 servos for both steering and dig. 4pk to control the 4 channels, 3s 5000mah lipo to supply the power. I haven't decided yet on the ESC and motor, but probably the Torque master from Holmes, or a mamba maxx.

I also haven't decided if I want to keep the 7turn puller in it or switch to another brushed motor. I really like that motor that comes with the SCX-10TR on 3s.

Spent some time bolting things together today, I am back to having a roller.

You can see in these pics how much the front bumper protects the winch.

You may also notice that since the first pics were posted I have laid down the first coat of paint. Yes it is gloss, not normal for me;)

I decided to paint the cab of this truck to match the paint on my old 1:1 Toyota. These pics aren't of mine, but the paint is what I am shooting for on this build.

Looks good Jason! Wish that I has a Quick Sand winch just sitting around waiting for a build.
If you've got a Titan 21t sitting around try that for a motor, very fun on 3s in a scaler!
You going to be able to make it out to either of the last to scale events for this series?

I've had this winch sitting here for almost a year waiting for something worthy to put it on.

I have 3 of those sitting here, just had to put one in my Blitz to be able to run in the stock class at MHOR. For some reason the motor in the Axial TR seems to have a little bit better low end, and a little bit more top end too.

I've been trying to make the events, but it just hasn't worked out in my favor this year, I had a blast at the one scale event I did lastyear and can't wait to do another. I'll keep an eye out for your posts and hope to make it to an event.

Looking good Jason. I can't wait to see the paint finished. My uncle had one painted like that when I was a kid.

And, R2J does do some awesome work. I love Rodney's TOY .

May have to give one of those a shot. Really like the 21t Titan, but if the Axial one is better might be a better choice. Have you been using a Mamba Max with those motors and if so, how is the drag brake?

I hope that you can make an event, or at least one of these weekends we should go up to Flat Irons and mess around for a few hours.

I ran my TR stock on 3s for quite a while before the esc gave up, now I am running it with a mamba max, drag brake is fine.

It's always hard for me to turn down flatirons, that is one of my favorite spots.

I have 3 of them now and another on the way, I love these things. I have a TR version, one I stretched out and put a proline CGR Blazer on, and this one. The new Honcho is on the way.
