Default My little "Jero"

I had this old SCX10 kit sitting under my desk that I have been kicking every time I go to sit down here and its been down there a good while. So I was reading the boards last week and came across "Montana bound Jero" by K9popo. That has to be one of the sickest scx10 builds I have ever seen; period!! Finally something that inspired me to start my first ever scale rig. Thanks K9.

heres the short list:
  • SCX10 chassis shortened
  • basically stock tranny plus chromoly out drives
  • chromoly lockers
  • strc aluminum knuckles and carriers
  • axial cvds
  • axial hd highspeed gears
  • cac 6 spoke one niners
  • rc4wd 1.9 rock lox
  • hand bros chassis mounted steering
  • custom links (threaded rod sleeved in graphite)
  • DMG steel
Still lots to be done. Time to do work!

Love CaC wheels. I just purchased another pajero body today and will be cutting the flares out of it. I also would like to add some type of cage; those silly stock body mounts are killin me. Not sure on an interior yet but some wheel wells are definitely due.

Just giving props where props are due. Wish i had your skills. Again this is my first scaler and i'm loving it and it actually performs very well; all things considered.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Nothing yet Kev. I have been looking around at a couple rally pajero paint schemes or I may stick to plain ole flat black or desert sand. Haven't made up my mind yet. Any suggestions?

Think I'm gonna stick with the desert sand Kev.

A few other things I failed to mention in the first post.

Its also sporting
  • RC4WD black 90mm dual spring scale shocks.
  • 3racing winch and controller
  • reign whip antenna(absolutely my most favorite part)
Stopped by Lowes today and got some metal to start working on a cage.

Decided not to cut the fenders out of the first body and I let my wife pick out the color on it and thats about all I need to say about it. So I purchased a few more Jero bodies since they are getting more and more scarce and I settlled on flat black for its color. I also cut the fenders out on this one. I am kinda stuck though on what I should do with the rear of the body. Any suggestions? Here are a few pics I took today.

The comp cut looks good
Maybe take the "tailgate" and smooth it out and bevel/round off the corners?

Just got done reading and studying your build. Project "WTF" You do some ridiculous work man. I love how finished yours and K9's are; great attention to detail. I hope to get that far there some day.
