my honcho is made for the mud, there isnt many rocks around. so the 20t is just sweet. The wheelspeed is awsome

Later i want to get a 21t titan (once i get the summit tranny )

I recently dumped the 5700 brushless in favor of a HH Torque Master Pro 35T/CC Sidewinder ESC/3S 5K, much better low end resolution. The new motor is so much more driveable, especially for mild crawling. Just tooling around, mixed speed and crawling, I'm getting about 2 hours of runtime on the 5000 lipo's .

I switched over all my Losi Crawler gear. Losi 21.5 brushless crawler system with a 3S lipo. Using a 16T pinion and it works great. Huge crawling power and decent wheel speed.

I'm starting out with a old 2s goat and a really old ( but barely used) Reedy conquest plus 27 turn. Losi 3300 2s pack, if I want more speed I'll throw a sidewinder and 3s at it, used the goat cause it won't bother me one bit if it gets wet and goes up in smoke.

EZ-Run brushless ESC
1200kv turnigy outrunner motor
3S lipo.

outrunner makes for a nice and controlled bottom end with miniman cogging/stutter and it still has a decent turn of speed on 3s.

Honcho 1.9: 27T Axial brushed/Sidewinder ESC on 3S lipo 14/87 gearing loads of torque already and good wheel speed.

Retro Truck 2.2: 35T RC4WD brushed/XL5 ESC on all batteries from 6-8 cell NiMH to 3S lipo gearing is 14/87 as well.
