So the bumpers aren't an exact match for the axial frame? That's a shame.

Can't wait to see it!!

Nope, they're the same width. So I had to make brackets for the front which turned out perfect, and bent the rears in (kind of like a small S) to narrow the frame.
If you don't need the bumper that high up front, you could cut/grind the C channel to the edges so it'll slide in.

Didn't you take any measurement before you bought lol?

Finally finished the bulk of the work on my new Bronco.
Prep/paint/finish, headlights/markers/taillights, bumpers, wheel wells, modified TR flares, re-routed the exhaust to under the rear bumper, relocated front off-road lights, accessories, etc.

LED's should be done sometime this week, I'll get some pics once they're on.

On to the pics.......

Any close-ups of how you mounted the bumpers? I can see the bolts showing in the front.

No but it's pretty simple. The front actually sits on top of the frame rails with a plate on each side with 2 screws in the bumper mount, and 2 in the frame. The rear didn't need to be as high, so i narrowed the frame rails in the rear. Each side has a single bolt through the frame/bumper mount, and a push rod from the bumper mount to the shock hoops (didn't have to be as strong, but still needed 2 points so it wouldn't rotate. I'll show you the next time I see you.
Hint hint....WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK??? lol

Just put in a new Integy 35T. Long overdue for a new motor, couldn't believe how much the old motor dozed off.

Did the water break in method to try something new. I felt like the motor was smoother and a little faster than my other 35T, which was hand-wound even. I highly recommend the water break in method

Just replaced mine with a 55T, I heard about the water break in, do I just dunk it in water and floor it for 45 seconds?

Don't get me wrong, I loved that motor. It might have been the way it was broken in. I've had that motor almost a year too, it was in my comp rig and then went into the scaler (sees lots of water action). I would buy another in a heart beat, but for a scaler, I went the cheapo way lol. You wont be let down by the Tekin 35T Hand-wound

For the water break in, I used a DC power source. I ran it at 6v for about 5 minutes with a drop of dish soap in the water (to make the water thinner). Then ran it for another 2 minutes in clean water. After that, take it apart and spray it with motor cleaner and re-oil the 2 bearings. Resemble and install

Not much to update. I brought the front bumper about an 1/8" closer to the body, much nicer fit/look/approach angle. Got to drive on some rocks for a couple minutes too to make sure everything was in check, all is good and ready to go
Lights should be here any day now too....

Got the body's LEDs in today (head/tail lights, running, and marker lights). The chassis lights are all the same. I got a few pics of them all on. The headlights are really bright with those chrome buckets!
