Default Centered wraith axle build

Ok so I am going to attempt to build a wraith axle with the diff in the center for a more scale 1-ton look. Haven't found anyone attempting this, besides narrowing the wraith axles. Haven't really attempted to do a drastic modification like this. hopefully it turns out great. I know i will have to brace it on the inside with some type of metal tubing.

2 of these
Axial Wraith AR60 OCP Axle Housing

bonding agent???? this? feedback on bonding the axle tubes back together would be great
Pacer Technology ZAP 5 Minute Quick Shot Epoxy, 1 oz

THIS PART IS FOR THE AXLE HOUSING MOD ONLY. WILL GET INTO THE ACTUAL AXLES LATER AFTER THE HOUSING IS DONE.

IF IT WORKS OUT GOOD IT WILL BE GOING ON THIS.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product on this axle mod you're doing! I've been wondering when somebody was gonna attempt it... Keep us posted!

Looks good. keep up the good work and pics.
I don't know if a plastic welder would help or not but it might be worth looking into.

As for the axles themselves. I have to make those custom length also. I want your guys opinions on. It. I have to buy 2 pairs of axles foe the rear at @ $20 each. That's $40all plus shipping. Or should I take my scx10 axles and extend those. It's only for the rear.either way I got to cut up the axles..would b cheaper to cut my old scx10 axles....

Wouldn't XR10 axles work? I think there has been a few guys using them with the KC Jones long beef toobs. I don't know myself, just throwing it out there.
