Default BOBO_XLT's honcho all set for snow :)

Well I finally had a little time to work on this thing and thought i would throw some pics up. The only new stuff is the crappy boatsides and the integy portals. I still havent had alot of time to test the portals yet as they have only been on for a day or so now but i will let you know how they hold up. next on the list is son=me new wheels to bring the width back down but i have no idea what to get since 2.2s are the only thing i have that can clear the portals but they are too wid to look right with 1.9 tires. Oh well Im sure Ill figure something out. enjoy some pics.

Those were just to show off my new boat sides. Here it is all ready for snow...

If any one can suggest a narrow 2.2 that might work please let me know.

Hah, looks like you could throw it at someone's face!

After playing with my stock SCX in the snow, I started to wonder how some 2.2 paddle tires with dual tires on each corner would do in the snow . . .

haha the nails arent that solid but they do seem the help in the snow. I think 2.2 paddles would help too. I just did this cuz it was free

Looks evil Hope it works!

What did you make your boatsides out of, thickness of sheet etc? I think they look good. Can you post a pic of how you mounted them?

Not really a true paddle tire but the 2.2 Panther Cobra does real well in the snow and is close the same height as a 1.9 Flat Iron.

I did that on my Stampede once but I used 1/2" sheet-metal screws. Worked great on snow and ICE

Yeah the nails will slap the body and the boat sides a little but mostly just when turning not so much during suspension travel.

the boat sides are made out of some 26Ga. steel and bolted on with the upper link mounts.
