Default Honcho's first run

Got this thing a couple weeks ago, I've ordered and installed a few minor upgrades but haven't been able to run it until now due to work schedule. This thing is a Beast, everything I wanted to climb or drive on I was able to when I chose the right line. I've installed a 14t pinion gear on the stock 27t motor, but might bump it to a 15 or 16 for a little more speed, seems to have enough power for me right now with over an hour run time also. Very happy with this little truck, see why everyone likes them so much.

Honcho looks great.

Looks like you have the body up a few clicks and the lift kit for the shocks. Do you have any rubbing of the front tires on the body?

Actually I haven't raised the body posts, there is just a small amount of rubbing on rear of fender with wheels locked, I still have the shock limiters in, so if I remove them I'll do a little trimming. Thinking about purchasing Traxxas Big Bore shocks, I've always had good luck with them and the axial shocks look like they are already leaking.

I've gotten to like a little wheel-speed my self. I removed a HH 35t and replaced it with a stock 27t Axial motor with 20t pinion. With a 2s, 4000 LiPo. I honestly can't tell much difference other than the added speed.

I don't have any LiPo batteries yet, got the hour + run time on a 7.2v 5000mah nimh, was'nt going too hard just crawling around in the woods beside my house.

That's a good looking rig, really like the wheel and tire combo. I'm getting about an hour run time from mine too with a 5000 nihm pack, pushing it fairly hard most of the run

Nice honcho! What wheel and tire combo are you running? As for battery time I'm running 5000 20c 2s. I pulled over 3 hours scaling yesterday.

Been having a Blast with this thing, I've now removed the lift kit and installed Traxxas xxL big bore shocks with Losi white springs M# LOSA5147. I ordered the xxLs to give me the ride height for the 2.2s, but limited the travel alittle so I would'nt have to cut my body up much.

I've also modified the stock bumper by cutting and heating with a hair drier so I could bend it to a shape where the larger tires would'nt rub it. One last thing I've added is an Integy 35t motor with a 16t pinion, I'm going to run it like this for awhile until I break stuff and give myself a reason for more upgrades.

Thanks for all the Great info on this site.
