Default Krazykrawlers Class II Blazer

Well, this truck is just about finished, but i figured i would entertain yall with a build thread. In fact ive already had this truck in a scale trail run on 2/25/12 and it did ok until i hit the smoke button on my M-11.I heard about our little GTG around the first of January so i quickly started making arrangements to get my hands on a scaler of some sort.I quickly made a deal with dkchance74 and got this in trade.. It was a basket case but i knew that it would be totally rebuilt. It was missing stuff like rock sliders, front and rear bumber braces and various other stuff, but no big deal.It had some heavily modded 1.9 flat irons, some stock rims that were painted black but with brake fluid thet quickly came back to chrome. On to the pics .Ill post up more soon

Sorry for the fuzzy pics, didnt realize they were that bad.Hang in there it might be bumpy ride on some of the shots.Taken with a crappy non-internet slider phone.Heres a few more and hopefully you wont strain your eyes. Keep in mind i built this frame to be removable,so it is a bolt on. Yes that is a functional spare tire carrier that swings out.

Awesome..! Love all the tubing. I like the old school bodies. I did a k-5, but did styrene cage and tube style fenders with CGR interior. I crashed it, BAD. Broke the body, then electronics burnt up. If I had your abilities I would have done like yours. Its sweet. Now mines a 79' Ford club cab.

Thanks for the comment.I use a MAPP gas torch with the self igniting tip.I think the whole kit was about $40 at Lowes. The replacement bottles are about $10.I also use 1/8 brazing rods that i get from Lowes that are about $8 for a 1lb tube. Then i get 3/16 brake line tubing from various auto parts stores. The biggest tip i can give is try to get tubing that is not coated with the green stuff. Its hard to find now as the other stuff is "earth friendly".Also be sure to fish mouth your ends so they fit together with minimal filler metal.

Here are some shots of the interior.I robbed the seat out of a new bright jeep and the tool box is from Tractor Supply.I bought abought 10 of these a couple years ago and they come in handy. Also made a floor pan out of some sheet plastic i had.

Waterproof box up front for the electronics also in last picture, the rims were cleaned with brake fluid and the beadlocks were de-anodized and polished up on the buffing wheel.

I wish my Home Depot or lowes carried brazing rod. I have to ask even though I think I'm right but brazing rod is specifically called brazing rod right? It's not a low temp welding rod or something? Sorry if it's a stupid question but I'm not a welder at least a good one lol. Nice paint job to, just a touch retro.
