Default Help With scx10 motors please!

i have a scx10 been running an axial 20t motor for a while now but last night it burnt out so right after i switched to a axial 27t motor and different battery and within 20 minutes that motor burnt out too anyone know what can cause this? maybe my ESC is bad? i dont know

Check that your bearings are free and nothing is binding. A
also check your mesh. What gearing are you running? Im running 75/23 with Tamiya silver can. I never buy decent motors because i usually run in the filthiest water around.

What pinion and spur are you running? It sounds like your gearing is a little too high. I run new combinations for a few minutes then check for excessive heat. If it is too hot to comfortably touch for two seconds, gear down. I run a brushless with a heatsink, it is a whole lot less maintenance especially in a dirty dusty, wet enviroment.

i had the slipper clutch too tight thats why i was messing with these little bushes pushing them over and it would bind up and put to much load on the motors lol i have a 88/20, i run throught the nastiest water too im not nice to my crawler lol. i ran a 20 t motor for over an hour before never got hot but i messed with that slipper clutch and forgot to re adjust it. I bought a tekin 35t motor now and its good to go! thanks for replys
