| Jeep Wrangler from Alaska!
Got my Axial Jeep Wrangler Rubicon from the Anchorage House of Hobbies yesterday after deciding I did not want to mess with my first SCX10. With the prices of the bodies I've seen around 170 including shipping, I figured I'd rather get another SCX10. Anyways, here are some pics: Went over to Toys R Us today and got me a driver! And after cutting him up: "$200 for what?!?! ***** I wouldn't let you give me a (bleep) for 50 bucks!!" |

I haven't had much chance to drive it or actually crawl or trail with it since it been icy and cold up here in the AK. As for first impressions, I would like to see more weight in the tires only because it seems really bouncy and light. I'm thinking about putting my weighted TSL SX's on the Jeep in place of the Maxxis tires.

I installed my 1.9 proline TSL's on the Jeep and I think it looks much better. Lost some ground clearance but this feels more scale. What do you guys think? |

Thanks guys Yeah the stock tires to me always felt a bit weird... I mean I like the ground clearance it gave but I bought the Jeep SCX10 for scale purposes... Of course I wouldn't mind going to pitbull size (4.45") but the rock beasts are also considerably wider. Some outside pictures from today with the TSL's: Sorry about the low lighting... We haven't had much sun here in AK... or atleast I don't see it much. I work night shifts and don't wake up until around 4 pm. Anyways I added some scale stuff to her and also about to order some more from RPP "Gonna get some gas!" And no I'm not really going to leave the jerry can there :P I'll put it on the rack when I get it or in the back somewhere. And with the older SCX10: |

Update on the JK! Got a couple more scale accessories from the Mail man today and proceeded to install them. Got the GearHead RC JK Roof Rack with Yakima stickers on it as well as a couple Proline Scale accessories and my Navigator: Lara Croft. OH! and a dog! :P Arnold's holding a sword...Is that Lara's lower body right there??! Also got my little brother this mini bowling game for a dollar. Since the family likes to go bowling, I might as well get Arnold and Lara into it as well. And my Mini "RC". Funny, I was actually going to paint the JK that color. LOL. And VOILA! |

Just got the RC4wd Dick Cepek Torque Wheels from the Local Hobby Shop. And also bought some RC4wd Rok Lox: I originally wanted Iroks but the 1.9 iroks are too wide and too tall for my liking...the Maxxis Treps were already pushing the limit for the size that I wanted.. Ran through a minor setback: I wasn't able to use the nut cover that came with the wheels because the clearance was too shallow and the thread was too long for the wheel. Now either I grind it off to fit the hubs or I use the Stock Axial Hubs. I chose the Axial hubs because it really didn't bother me. I'll take some more pics later. |
