figure out how many channels you'll need and get the best one you can afford. what you want is something that has adjustments for all your channels - like end points, etc. and most likely at least 3 channels. i just upgraded from stock radio to a Flysky GT3C - it's affordable, VERY lightweight, LiPo, has all the adjustments, only has 3 channels stock but can be hacked for up to 8ch with the LosiKid/Overkill Rc kit. The Flysky GT3B/C radios are pretty much the cheapest full-feature radios out there. Many people seem to like the Futaba and Spektrum products, but I can't comment on those because I can't afford a good one |

The additional features you need in a radio for the SCX10 are adjustable end points and additional channels with a 3 position switch. The FlySky does all of that plus more. The Futaba 4PL (soon to be 4PLS) is a really nice radio.Unless you have unlimited funds, you be better off buying the Flysky and use the money you would save on other upgrades. I would check the hacked GT3B or GT3C from Overkill RC. Products - OverkillRC |

If I were you, I would get the spektrum DX3E it is a 3-channel radio with a 3- position switch. It is overall a great radio. $80.00 retail.

I would go with the flysky, Its a great radio, i have 2 (1 hacked and 1 not) and both of them work great, i only have a range problem on my hacked one because of my own fault, when installing the hack kit i broke off the antenna wire and must not have solder it back on good enough... But other then that they both work great and for scaling you dont one of those high dollar radios |

I have a hacked flysky and it works great! It will bind to the factory axial receiver as a bonus.

Gt3b/c from Losikid -- 8 channels and fully programmable for less than most 3-channel Tx's. Can't beat that.
