Default Blackfoot Extreem Crew Cab

So I got the start of my crewcab project, hope to get started on it soon, but we shall see how it goes. Here are some pics of the 2 trucks. Thanks to BigD for them. I will get another grill for it some time, or find some lights that fit the grill, maybe the smaller axial ones.

The Two of the together.

Sitting on the honcho

Giving it a stretch will make it look way more scale.

I made some good progress on the crew cab.

I am going to use styrine and glue, I also have some aluminum square tubing to make it strong. I am also going to use a rubber type of glue so it will flex and not break.

I got my stuff to drop the body down on the frame, gearhead shock relocation kit and jevne battery plate should bring it down quite a bit. I am thinking of cutting the scoop off of the hood or at least modifying it to make it look different.

Honestly I like the scoop on the hood but you could cut it out and put in a v8 model motor with a blower sticking out thatd be kinda kool you gotta make a ford look as good as possible at least better than chevy or dodge lol. And your doing just that man it looks great keep some more pics coming in id like to see how it turns out

The hood scoop is at leas getting modified, it is a little too big, it may get the points trimmed off and made to look more like a shaker hood.

Thanks, for all the nice comments.

Here are some of the latest on the crew cab build.

Switched to a different shock location.

Working on stitching the body together...

It is coming along, and it looks pretty cool with it sitting lower on the frame.

The body is a tamyia brand, Blackfoot extreem. You could use the stock body but you would have to shorten the frame and narrow the axles. The other way you could do it for a more scale look is use a CCO1 for the running gear.

I have been busy with the kids lately and the weather is still nice here so I have not gotten much done, I will post up some pics as to how it sits now.

This was before I took the shock mounting pins off the front shock hoops and took the hoops off all together in the back, this is a little monster truckish...

I do like the roof rack I got for it, and it will help keep the body from flexing and breaking where I put it together.
