Default Mud truck build

What I have is a axial scx 10 dingo kit. The intended use of this rig is for power wheel speed playing in the mud but still be trail friendly. In the process of assembly I set the chassis up with front and rear 4 link. Using the honcho upper and lower rear links in the front allowed me to have the front 4 link set up and a 12.3 wheelbase. There is a few things i will be using like a Level 3 rc dual motor mount,Vanquish products aluminum transmission housing,Robinson racing transmission gears, Junfac hardened carbon steel universal shafts, Gmade g-transition shock black 90mm ,Integy alloy type VII 2.2 beadlock wheels wrapped in rc4wd mud slingers 2.2 tires. Now to feed the power to the ground. that will be done by 2 velineon 3500 vrushless motors and 2 vxl-3s Waterproof ecs's with 2 3s lipo batteries. To control this monster I will be using a spektrum dx3c,sr300 dsm 3-channel sport receiver.

I would like to have the power to skip across the top of the mud or what ever it attack. I may chang the motors at later time to some 1/8 Mamba Monster 2. I still do not know what body im going to use on this build but old school trucks rule 1930s to 1970s style truck would looknice. More updates to come

Update

I mounted the tires and wheel I did not have time to cut the small lugs off but there is still tomorrow. I also mouted the motor with a 23t pinion gear and a 87t spur.

I cut the lugs on some mud slingers once too. It was a laborious job. Worth it though.

Update
I installed the motor and transmission in to the truck last night for a test fit. well it is a no go the motor was hitting the frame so so I moved it and now it is hitting the upper 4 link mount. I did how ever get all the tires cut and mounted on the truck. I cut all the small lugs on the outside and cut every other lug on the in side so the tire will not give as much. To night the hitec metal gear servo that I destroyed after 3 days.It will be rebuilt and hung on the truck.

A 23t pinion with (2) 3500KV Brushless motors on 2.2's?? I'd imagine this combo will cog like hell at low speed, instantly strip 48p spurs, suck amps like there's no tomorrow, and heat up really bad.

On the brighter side your truck will top out at 30+ mph and do effortless summersaults and roll overs ...

AWSOME! Please post Video's

Cox308 the traxxas velineon motor are known to cog with stock traxxas gearing. If it does cog then it will be time to play with the gearing this is just the first set up in this build. I will put two 1/8 mamba monster 2s in it with 2 6s batteries if i dont like the out come of the 2 velineon motors .

I think you'll need Wraith Axles if you plan to have any stability at speeds.

I got to work on the new motor mount this evening. the darkness forced me to stop so the aluminum c hubs and knuckles made there way on th the front axle. tomorrow there will be a trip to the bobby shop to pickup some allen head screws. I used some phillips head screws thats all I had at the time but it works for now. Also I picked up a floor pan for a honcho from rpp hobby on ebay.

It's a shame you're gonna get this shinny truck all dirty! but it'll be so cool to see it fling some mud!
