| Any SCX10 Dingos out there?
I rarely see Dingos, anyone else resisting urge to dump the Dingo set up? This is my current set up. When I built it originally I wasn't a big fan of the Dingo body and ordered a hard shell Hummer body. Needless to say the Hummer body is still on my shelf. Im running a Dynamite 12t waterproof ESC with a RC4WD 35t motor. I tried a VXL ESC with a Tacon 1200kv brushless set up and it worked ok with the exception of no drag brake. I now realize how much of a difference it makes. I'm running a set of Proline Epic wheels that I had from a 2wd Slash with some Proline hammers and some wheel weights. Overdrive gears up front, Blubird hi torque waterproof servo, Traxxas waterproof receiver box, home made aluminum hoops, Traxxas Slash 4wd axles converted to a set of driveshafts, Revo links converted to 4 link set up, tranny flipped and mirrored, Wrath shocks and springs, home made hoop braces, home made spur gear protector, LEDs all around, home made bikini top, and all piloted by "THE UNDERTAKER." This is my first crawler and I am quickly becoming addicted! Haven't touched any of my other RCs since the box arrived. Lets see some Dingo pics!

My Dingo was my 5th Axial purchase. I'm keeping it mostly stock and just running it on hiking trails of moderate difficulty at best. It's such a hoot to drive. No weight in the wheels and non vented. 27t Axial motor and brxl esc. |

After looking at all these awesome Dingos, I decided I had mine set up with too much lift. I changed it up and I think it looks better. Same suspension travel with a higher shock mount. Heres a before and after.

Definitely looks better, ought to handle better too. I liked my Dingo but quickly grew tired of the bumper always limiting my approach. Here's mine after stretching it to 12.5" WB and trimming the body/bumpers (right before I started a JK body). It's amazing how much more capable a rig becomes by simply opening up a clear path in front of the tires. Though I suppose part of running an unmodified Dingo body and bumpers is accepting the challenge of clearance limitations. Props to those who stick with it. |
