| New to me SCX10.
I recently bought this off a guy in the forum. Just started messing with it. I had a Wraith light setup that I'm test fitting. I went a little overboard ordering parts this weekend (yea addicted). Parts on order: Holmes Hobby BR-XL esp Futaba receiver 4pl Blue Monkey titanium 4 link set Radio box Spur cover Vanquish stage 1 kit ( 8 deg) Vanquish shock hoops Axial universal drive shafts Pitbull Rock Beast 1.9s Gmade XD Piggyback shocks (103mm) 5 Lug Wagon 1.9 Steel Stamped beadlocks 1.9 5 Lug Steel Wheel Hex Hubs Over and under drive gears RR steel tranny gears MIP drive-shafts This ought to keep me busy for a bit. I'm going camping this weekend and I'm hoping to take this and the Ridgecrest out. Last edited by Norton; 05-26-2013 at 09:36 PM. |

Got a lot installed today, still have to build the shocks and put tires on the beadlocks. Have some other misc parts coming in tomorrow. Should be ready for camping The long ball ends for the steering arm didn't show up with the order so I'll have to stop by the hobby shop on the way out of town. The place I ordered from are sending me new ones anyway. Last edited by Norton; 05-29-2013 at 10:48 PM. |

Probably drop HH 35T in it. I kept going and got two of the shocks installed. The stock springs on these G-Made's were way to stiff, changed them out to some softies and there smooth now. Last edited by Norton; 05-30-2013 at 01:34 AM. |

I kind of new this was going to happen, because of the offset of the new wheels the tires hit the 8 degree knuckles. I have some HPI 12x24 wide hex hubs from my Ridgecrest and had to throw them on. It will do! Last edited by Norton; 06-04-2013 at 09:07 PM. |

Got the last two shocks installed, kind of surprised at how much travel it has now. That's a 5.75 tire under the back and no binding. Both of them are ready for the weekend I'll be sure to take some pics. |

The weekend went great except for the SCX10. I only had the stock 20T Axial motor from my Crest to use, never the less it fried on the first pack. It got put away for 4 days but the Crest got the crap beat out of it and never skipped a beat. I have a new HH TorqueMaster Expert 540 27t coming in tomorrow. Right now I have the stock spur (86t I think) and pinion (20t). I know the 27t motor will slow me down but I'm pretty sure I need to drop the pinion down some teeth. I'm thinking a 16 or 14 tooth. I'll be running 2s 4500 packs and 3s 2200 on it with a HH BR-XL. What do you guy's think? Thanks. Last edited by Norton; 06-05-2013 at 11:57 PM. |

I figured out a lot about this rig. #1 the springs were way to soft, burned the motor(A given) and it was in no way ready for a week of camping. With the Gmade shocks, it lifted it to high and the torque twist was sick. I just ordered a droop kit and changed the springs. As it sits right now it seems ok but the droop setup will help I think. Anyhoo, new motor is installed and new springs on the shocks. If these Gmades don't work out, they will be up for trade or sale real quick. I think I can make them work but 90 mm Kings are in the back of my mind. It now comes down to testing and seeing whats up. The one great thing was I beat the crap out of the Ridgecrest and it did not fail. It better have made it, considering the money in that f---er! Last edited by Norton; 06-08-2013 at 12:55 PM. |

That looks great! Hows the fit on the top mount on those Gmade shocks? Mine fit very loose over the ball. Oh, where did u get the softer springs? Thanks! |
